He knew he had the virus while in Europe. Was symptomatic with a fever. Flew back from Europe anyway. Was worried they'd find out he had a fever. So thanks for the virus, Death Angel.

The Ultraviolence is an all time thrashterpiece. They should have been bigger...

I love that album too.  And died laughing when that song was used in this hardees ad.

Saw them open for Jerry Cantrell in the early 2000s. Odd choice for an opener but they killed it.

He's lying- I was in the Ozarks all week.
Plus, I don't like metal, I'm more of a smoove jazz listener.

FTFA: In an effort to be healthier, he said he's quitting hard alcohol and bong rips, narrowing his substance use to the occasional hard cider and marijuana edible.

I
would wager he was doing a lot more than that before the virus came a knocking.

Death Angel is one of those bands that sound like they are going to be the heaviest shiat that will melt your face off but it's borderline hair metal...

Agreed. I saw them open for Testament and Anthrax a few years ago. Never fully understood why Testament and Death Angel didn't get as big as Anthrax or that other Bay Area thrash band.

I guess he has yet to experience his Final Death. But at least he has a decent Room with a View.

especially considering guys in the band were teenagers when they made that album.

Someone should show him Weird Science.  Lisa turning Chet into a crap monster sounds like his version of the devil.

This. Were I Metal-King, Death Angel and Dark Angel would be made to swap band names.

There, the devil - a woman in this case - punished him
What? Is that guy newly divorced?

I know almost nothing about Death Angel, except that in the late '80s, early '90s, my then-girlfriend and I took a bus from upstate NY to San Francisco. At some point--I'm guessing now toward the tail end of the trip--Andy, the (I think?) guitarist struck up a conversation with us. The absolute nicest guy on the face of the planet, and we were not starstruck--we didn't know his band from Adam at the time--but just an extraordinarily friendly guy who was great to talk to. Great times.

Never became a fan, but I remember reading about these guys in the late-80's and that they were SUPER young when they recorded their first album.

That other Bay Area thrash band kinda stopped being thrash after their first album.
