Filmed at Club Rio in Atlanta, where we used to hang out back in the day. We're used to spend time in Little Five Points here in Atlanta, he was a regular. I wish I had saved all the telephone pole posters that he and his band would put up all over the place. RuPaul and the Wee Wee Pole. My kids were still in grade school so they thought that was funny as shiat. Really nice guy though. We all loved him , told him to always be himself and go for it, we knew he would be big and damned if he didn't do it.

Holy shiat, I read that as Ron Paul.  My staff are all standing at appropriate social distance, wondering why I'm sitting in my office laughing my ass off.

I'm trying to remember but it's been at least 25 years -- did the telephone pole posters have "Rupaul is everything" on them? I don't know why this has become important to me but I those posters were so incredibly fascinating.

You bettah WORK!

My friends and I were extras in some Lifetime movie way back in like 1999 or 2000 and RuPaul was one of the main characters. Except she was dressed as a man. In the scene, she walks right past me, and all the extras (protesters) are supposed to ignore him, but I couldn't get over how small he actually was without heels and a wig.

(I have no idea how to treat pronouns in the above paragraph. I'm old.)

That movie was uncomfortable. I don't really don't have much in common with that demographic. And it was bad, even for a B movie.

He. RuPaul Andre Charles is a gay man and a drag performer, not a trans woman.

That, I'm not sure of. It was back in the days of hanging out in the basement of Junkman's Daughter with my now husband and lots of, er, recreational mood additives.

Do I know you? Ru was BFFs with a bandmate of mine, Sandy G. He used to come to our practices.
I also had a VIP pass to Club Rio - that was a great place. Colorbox was no Club Rio.

You're insane.  That was a great movie, regardless of demographics.  You are, however, correct that it was uncomfortable.  It was basically a movie long exploration of the X-Men mom saying, 'Have you tried just...not being a mutant?" and the hijinks of teenage life.

Was it Wayne Hollowell's crew?  It was really entertaining watching the premiere at Club Rio. There's one scene where Ru's on the roof of a building to confront drug traffickers & every corner he turns his clothes change. Shamelessly stolen from a Doris Day movie, the name of which I've forgotten.

Also, here's something that might be of interest: https://findingaids.library.emory.edu/documents/richard1461/

Ru is probably a bunch of people.

I'm finding it hard to believe that anyone could have been part of as many scenes and been in so many places doing so many things.

Would no longer surprise me if Ru was on the grassy knoll

There is nothing even remotely pornographic about this movie, full length or otherwise. It's one of many cheesy super low budget art films Ru and his crew did in Atlanta in the 80's. It's a parody of porn films, just like they did a parody of "Mahogany" and a parody of blacksploitation movies called "Starrrbooty", the latter of which got remade into a much higher budget (but still low budget by today's standards) movie in the late 2000's that featured far more closer to pornographic content than this does (like fully hard dicks/jerking off scenes.)

Found it, if anybody cares. Not that you would, but I never even knew what film I was in, and always forgot to look. The timeline and plot line up with what we were doing.
