Sadly, this is probably the case, aspirational activities to display on social media while your kids just screw around.

OTOH it could change growing up if it really takes off. Always staying home but that active in the world at large? Time to put Manhattan Project level money into the Holodeck, man's penultimate invention.

You should send your kid to real camp.

There are a hundred things more likely to kill a kid at camp than this virus.

You went to camp, it wasnt perfectly safe for you either.  You cant be alive and be perfectly safe at the same time.
