Given their examples, I'd have to guess that it effects the Nightshade family.  That would mean that in addition to potatoes, tomatoes, and peppers (both bell and chili), it would also effect eggplants and possibly tobacco.

I dislike Geraniums with a passion..I worked landscaping type work for a few years and had to deal with
those stinky crap plants..The flowers are NOT worth it..There are better looking and better smelling flowers
with better foliage. Yes, they are cheap and relatively hard to kill..But why do you want to greet people
coming into your building or house with a stinky plant??
