She was also dating Marc Maron. I listened to his podcast this morning, ot was dedicated to her. It was rough.

"Previously undisclosed blood disease"...

What, like Leukemia? I'm pretty sure Hemophilia would have been easy to figure out. Damn.

Due to the timing, it made me think of Jim Henson. Just totally out of the blue, struck down by something nobody knew they had until it was too late.

I read a summary of that podcast this afternoon. Rough, sounded like it was.

I thought Henson refused treatment on religious grounds?  Either way, both events are sad.

Although Henson was a Christian Scientist as a child, his death wasn't a flat-out refusal of medical treatment on religiious grounds, but more that faith planted a seed where felt he could power thru it..... mind over matter kind of thing.   Being a Christian Science is like the opposite of being a hypcondriac.

Val Kilmer was/is one, as well, and he got throat cancer, and delayed treatment for years, to his own detriment. He can't even speak anymore.

Stop what you're doing, because that just ruined, the image and the style that I'm used to.

Can't lie, I was choking up a bit. Marc could barely hold it together. Seemed like it was very therapeutic for him. Sucks hard, it sounded like he finally found someone that truly loved him and more importantly made him be able to love himself.

After years of listening to him be so open and intimate and real, his loss really hit me hard. Nothing has like that since I lost my dad, oddly.

RIP Lynn. Stay strong, Marc. WTF indeed

Very little makes me less likely to feel sympathy for something than to hear Maron whine about it during the 45 minute introductions to his podcast but I wish I'd heard of her and her work sometime before she passed.

It felt like a unique experience to hear the pain in his voice during the introduction and then his obvious attraction during the interview. It was like reading only the first and last pages of a book in reverse order.

I hope I have an opportunity to look at some of her work this weekend.
