Saudi Arabia. Of course.

I could have sworn someone submitted this under "...stupid Watergate, stupid Iran-Contra..." somewhere...

The Dotard administration thumbed its nose at Congress when they sold the arms to Saudi Arabia unilaterally, but the investigation was likely also starting to dig in to how close on the heels of the Khashoggi execution that the deal was made.  Dotard agrees to look the other way when an American resident is butchered by the crown prince as long as said crown prince agrees to buy billions in weapons.

And that is why Dotard had the IG fired.

Considering Congress passed a bill to specifically block the sale, this is definitely a matter for Congress to take up.

Air Force Academy isn't much better with it's cult takeover of their on campus church.

U.S. law allows a president to remove inspector generals, who act as watchdogs to expose waste or improper activities within government agencies.

This is what's known as a "game-breaking bug".

George W. Bush sent pallets of cash to Iraq. I'm sure that's what you meant.

All the academies have this problem. It is a matter of selection bias and the requirements to get in.

Student leadership, GPA, athletics, and extracurriculars are all required
All things that tend to target more affluent students who don't have to work, can afford tutors, private coaches, camps, etc.

As well as the requirement of needing a congressional recommendation that comes easy to parents who are donors versus less wealthy parents.

And the preference for Boy Scouts which is strongly tied to evangelical and mormon church groups...

There are the career officers's kids, but that is a different path.

We will never dig out all the shiat done by this administration. They'll manage to successfully hide some of it. If they manage to get four more years it'll be even worse.

Although buying weapons may have been a factor, it is more likely that the bailout "clown prince" Jared got that clinched the deal. https://www.ft.com/content/90d98374-3528-11e9-bb0c-42459962a812

They're not kidding when they say 'stupid Iran/Contra' then, are they?

I remain holding out hope for something "better" - Traitor Kushner's massively underwater mortgage that he couldn't make payment on was conveniently taken off his hands shortly after word came out that he had been accessing huge numbers of NSC documents, right around the time the Saudis conveniently rounded up hundreds of more liberal minded princes (that basically only we'd have had the SigInt on).

If you don't think the NSC knows *exactly* who saw what and can't line it up *exactly* with those who got pinched... The only question is, will Kushner face trial and the needle for espionage.

Well, this one is speed running all of them at the same time, with no care or particular skill in the process.

Seriously, even Stupid Bay of Pigs is in here.  This chapter of US history will be summed up as "everything we already did in the previous one hundred and fifty years, but dumber, and at once."

Say what you will about Reagan, at least he acknowledged that there are things called "facts" and "evidence." A substantial improvement over what we have now, I'm sure you'll agree. And now, if you'll excuse me, I need to go take a Silkwood shower.

Hey, ya'll remember when then President Obama fired the livin' sheeat out of the Inspector General who was investigating then AG Eric Holder for the $1.5 million sale of firearms in the so-called "fast and furious" scandal?

Well of course you don't, because it never farking happened.

/Pompeo's sale = $8 billion
//To the country that supplied the majority of the 9/11 hijackers
///And cut up Jamal Khashoggi

15 of the 19 hijackers on 9/11 were Saudis. That's a fact.

Jamal Khashoggi, a journalist living in the US, was butchered in a Saudi embassy. That's a fact.

Is it any stretch to start thinking this will dig up more? Why did Trump make the unusual move to pull out our troops protecting the Kurds? How did ISIS get American weapons in their hands? On and on.... I hate that this president makes me constantly feel like I'm wearing a tin foil hat, but things that don't make sense become understandable when you think about what Trump and Kushner are doing to enrich themselves instead of helping the American people.

Obama did fire one Inspector General in 2009.  Am I to believe that we weren't running guns through AmeriCorps?

Some dipshiat was on CNN this morning this morning and said IG's could only look for "waste, fraud, and abuse of department money. So tell me what money he was looking for that was missing?" I nearly three my phone when I heard that.

Trump denies having any knowledge of the cause involved in his deciding to fire the IG, but says Pompeo should have fired him ages ago and he has actively encouraged all his appointees to recommend IGs for him to fire.

2020-05-18 9:52:44 PM
Well that makes more sense. I wonder if this ties into the Trump admin fighting so hard for 2 years in court to hide that the SA govt helped the 9/11 hijackers. If the Saudis didn't have their hand so far up Trump's ass he could've released that as great political theater and blamed Obama and Bush for a treasonous cover-up and had the families eating out of his hand.
