I wonder if there's any inference to be drawn from the fact that it has taken the British two months to realise they could not actually taste their own cooking.

So, if you like British food, you should self-isolate.  I can agree with that.

It's not their fault their teeth are so rotten that they have to boil everything to mush to eat.

Okay, think we got all the stereotypes out of the way.

If the affected person lives with others, they will be asked to self-isolate for seven days, and the others for 14 days. Okay.

I lost my sense of smell for a month starting in early march, moderate fever, agonizing sinus infection, bad diarrhea, maybe a minor cough.  Still waiting for the antibody tests to stabilize before I get one and see if I had it.

Brillant headline, bravo. Mostly because it gives me the opportunity to tell my CSB.
About three months ago I was perusing fark and sipping on a cool iced soft drink from Atlanta (not literally) when I noticed there was a promotion on the label of the aforementioned drink bottle. If I went to their website and entered the code on the underside of the label I could enter into a prize draw for two tickets to a Premier League match of my choice and £250 spending money. Well I have never been to a premier league ground nevermind match but thought that might be fun. So off I went to the website.
First you selected "your" team. I chose Man Utd. because I remembered them from my youth then you picked the team you wanted your draw entry to be based on. Then you were assigned a number between 1 and 90 and if the first goal of your chosen match is scored in that minute you win.
Well imagine my surprise when I received an email the following Monday informing me that I had won! there followed emails and phone calls back and forward where I confirmed my details and chose what game I wanted to see and let them know the details of who I was bringing along. It was all very eciting and for a while I was very popular amongst my friends.
At the beginning of the week when I was supposed to receive my tickets I was contacted by the promoters and told that because the previous weekends matches were for the Cup many league matches would have to be rescheduled to allow for the next Cup round matches and mine was one of the affected ones. So as soon as the rearranged dates were published they would be in touch. the following week they let me know that all matches were postponed indefinetly because of Covid-19 and they would try to offer something next season.
And thats my CSB, hope you all don't think I'm a thread jacker but I feel better now getting that off my chest.
