Donnie is also banned from operating a charity non profit because of his behavior called fraud in the scam he was running using donated money to pay personal bills.

Trump has had failures, but those are pet projects compared to the real estate empire his slum lord father left him. That empire is run by an "old money" law firm that will never let that gravy train run out.

Obama was too scared to run against Trump!

There are times when I think that it's not fair to judge Trump solely on the economy being down. It wouldn't matter who was President at this time, the whole GLOBALIST economy is down become of this virus.

And then Trump has to say and do something totally Trumpish to remind me that he's a total ass and if only someone halfway decent (like ANY other President before him) wouldn't have farked things up so badly.

I can't remember who said it, but someone on the TV today said that a pandemic is not the time for partisan politics.  Maybe it was even a clip from Obama's commencement speech.  I think it was someone else though.  Anybody could have said it.  In fact, a lot of people have probably said it.  Whoever said it was right.

But in Trumpland, it's time to blame the President before him, the guy he claimed (without a hint of racism, wink, wink) that wasn't even born in the US.

Now watch this drive!  I haven't played golf in a long time.

I have to wonder if Trump doesn't say "Now watch this drive" because he sucks at golf or because he knows how people mocked Dubya for saying that.

Well, that does it.  Now I'm on the fence about voting for Barack Obama.

So in effect Trump's retort is "No, U". This fecal Midas has been in over his head since day 1. He's got no policy achievements to point to, unless you count feckless cruelty as a policy. I never thought I'd want to give a septuagenarian a swift kick in the nuts, but here we are.

Obama beloved that Republicans were reasonable people.

It was his biggest mistake

The only people he seems to complement are murderers like L'il Kim and Pooty-Poot.

'Member when Trump said his Coronavirus response was better than Obama's H1N1 response because only 13,000 had died of coronavirus and 17,000 had died of H1N1, and how Trump kept raising the number of expected dead due to his perfect response from 50,000 to 60,000 and 65,000 as he pretending it was all under control, and now we have 91,000 dead.  I 'member.  And I'll 'member in November.

2020-05-17 8:46:09 PM
Also, that grossly incompetent president managed to keep his real birth certificate hidden from you after you've been president for three years and had the full force of the government at your power to find it.  Suck it, Trump.

I'm genuinely amazed that he hasn't yet.

He's come close at recent press conferences

2020-05-17 8:57:42 PM
Well, by Donnie's metrics, he was. No convictions of staff, he identified Russian assets, he didn't screw up his hurricane, he actually let his military do their jobs, and he stared down Pooty-Poot instead of doing the only thing that Donnie could ever think of and show his belly and throat, risking the li'l man's anger. He didn't terrify his staff, he didn't grift, and he didn't tolerate such behavior on his staff, so by Donnie's standards, Obama just wasted the potential of the office. Heck, that Peace Prize probably cost a bunch of folks contracts even, so really, he was the opposite of the Stable Genius in pretty much every fashion.

/You can just smell those sour grapes from here, can't you Donnie?

8 months?

This guy will not shut up for the rest of his life, irrespective of whether he wins the next election or not. The media can't help but shove a microphone in his face every time he wants to bloviate about something.

He will not go away. We will have to put up with his nonsense until he's cold in the ground.

He better hope he doesn't find himself in a room with the living former presidents.

Because that is when they can outvote him, dismiss the secret service and tell them to wait outside while they have a "super secret expresidents meeting" with him.

Or do you really believe "w" fell choking on a pretzel?

You won't see it happened. But the tweets will stop. The tune will change. Humility will blossom.

Ah. Who am I kidding? They are going to let him hang himself.

Psychological Projection is a defense mechanism in which the human ego defends itself against unconscious impulses or qualities by denying their existence in themselves while attributing them to others.

Projection tends to come to the fore in normal people at times of personal or political crisis but is more commonly found in personalities functioning at a primitive level as in narcissistic personality disorder or borderline personality disorder.

A person with a narcissistic personality tends to exhibit the following thoughts and/or behaviors:

Extreme sensitivity to criticism
A deep-rooted inferiority complex
Exaggerating their accomplishments and talents
Constantly seeking attention and commendation
Lack of valuing the feelings or opinions of others
Feelings of superiority
Demanding perfection from others
A strong sense of entitlement
Putting others down to lift themselves up
A need for special treatment
Exploiting others for their personal gain
Excessive competitiveness
Expressions of ego

Checks ALL of the boxes

I don't buy into the team aspect of politics. I don't like the idea that one side needs to win over the other. I thought the point was that both sides balanced each other out and compromise could make a better society for everybody. That being said, that's not what happens in reality. I'm against government. You may call me an anarchist. I may call myself that. But then we start to get into labels.

The government of the United States is supposed to be "of the people, for the people, by the people." The government of the U.S. is supposed to restrict the wealthy from taking advantage of the people. It can still be that way, but the wealthy have slowly eroded those ideas to the point where we think whatever the government says is what we should do. And where they fall shy on that, their marketing team reinforces it.

Before the 2016 election I was amused at Trump becoming president. I did not think for a minute he SHOULD be president. But I thought if there's anything good to come out of his presidency it's that people may see the wool pulled over our eyes.

It's like ripping a bandaid off. Yes...it sucks. Yes, he's ruined so many things. Yes, I hope the world always looks back at this guy and points out how flawed he was. But millions of people voted for him. You can call them idiots if you want, but that doesn't change reality. You have to live on this planet with those people. If you choose to dismiss them, you are part of the problem.

If you've managed to surround yourself with like-minded individuals and your own version of "those people" don't enter into your daily life, I commend you. But don't think for a minute that you can survive without respecting them.

We need to find a way to bring us all together. All of us people that do the stuff that helps all of us. Some of "those people" are the reason you are free to do the things that make you happy.

I agree with this part of your post. There ain't no leader we've had before or will have anytime soon that could have kept the economy from being "flushed."

I am quite a libby lib, but that's just a fact. Now, if he had done a better job of fighting against the virus, we may have been looking at a shallower tanking of the economy. And if he wasn't encouraging states to prematurely open so he could boost his election chances in WI, MI, PA, and FL, we might be looking at a shorter tanking of the economy.

But to pretend the economy wouldn't have tanked if Obama/Biden/JFK/Lincoln/Washington were in charge is fantasy.

I blame Trump for everything. South Korea for instance never entered lockdown and thus kept enough of their economy running that I'm not sure they'll even have much of a recession.

Meanwhile, I wouldn't be surprised if a L shaped recession is baked in for the US at this point, with a much slower growth rate not even beginning to manifest until there's a vaccine. Even then, there's no guarantee we'll get full compliance with it (ensuring outbreaks for years to come and the inevitable economic/political instability that'll cause).

/all bets are off if he gets re-elected despite all of this.
