Is there a training program for certified Social Media Attention Craving Kooks?  This seems like an area where standardization and clear labels could really help consumers.

Vans aren't cheap. Now that I've watched all of the primitive technology videos on YouTube, I'm ready to build a hut from mud and sticks down by the river. Maybe grow some yams, too. The important thing is to do it without a shirt. None of those guys wear shirts.

Eh, that's what a fool believes. Minute by minute they discover real love and they're takin' it to the streets as it keeps them running one step closer to the doctor.

That how they get the views. Usually the van couples are a guy, a good looking girl with a bikini body and a dog so no one steals your stuff when you're hiking.

Who can afford a van? Just build a lean-to out in the woods.

If you're willing to give up cooking at home (other than outdoor grilling, I guess) and willing to keep up a YMCA or gym membership or whatever, living in your car isn't necessarily substantially different from living in an apartment.  Depending where you live and what the overnight parking fees are it might not be substantially cheaper, though: in the bigger cities where those corporate jobs are the daily rates tend to hit around the level of a cheap motel if not worse.

Even if it does balance out to being cheaper than a cheap apartment, is is still cheaper when you account for the new and exciting relationship you now have with city authorities, law enforcement, and basically every bureaucracy in existence as a homeless person?  I assume the numbers are variable enough that sometimes the answer is yes, but I'd wager the answer is not reliably yes.

No one has to be of any min/max age to get some of that on them.

Once you get enough knowledge of human history over the last 1000 years in the brain. It becomes impossible to lay blame on any one named group of us, when to get to here now the way things are, requires a contiguous chain of acceptance, cooperation and complacency with the status quo from a large enough percent of the population.

And a clear signal of not seeing the bigger picture of how things got to the way they are, is to even imagine a blame finger can be pointed singularly at any one named group of us.

I've not noticed a significant trend in my life time of any more recent generations being any more likely, to be more selfless, or reject the trappings of classicist status symbols, and bourgeois conspicuous consumption than the previous ones.

What upward mobility can be found, i do not notice getting used to uplift ones fellows any more than yesterday had. And i still hear "trickle down" on the lips of people from all age brackets with enough of their own to find that works best for them.

I find these time lines you imagine divide us, do so far less than than resource and opportunity availability.
And that  those who mange to get some, are most commonly loath to share it once they got it, no matter how old or young they may be.

The first step to making a terrible human error, is to image only those other humans could have done such, but of course not me or anyone i know could be capable of that.

New Zealand doesn't have huge RVs like the US does.  Sure, there are some trailers and smaller RVs but for the most part tourists rent camper vans.

An obnoxious minority of the tourists in camper vans act like dicks.  They leave trash behind, or camp where they aren't supposed to, that sort of thing.  It's given folks in vans a bad reputation among the locals.

It's like a sitcom, where no one came from anywhere, and they're not accomplishing much (except selling stuff, hurray!), and they always have lots of stuff, but you don't know where they came from, and you don't know where they're going, and they don't either, but the script they saw on youtube said that this was the way to be cool, so they're out there now, making their show.

It ends just like a sitcom too--you just get canceled. Go get another fantasy life.

Piss off. You were doing great until that last sentence. I'm a Boomer, and with all the shiatty infrastructure you young people have erected to meet your needs, there isn't a job worth doing outside of the cities, and I won't move to the city.
I've lived in more goddamn cars than you've owned, probably. I have car life down to an art, and I do it where it's beautiful and isolated.

Heh, that was the first concert I ever went to. Cleveland area, mid-80s. Out on the grass, so it was nice and mellow.

I technically went to one concert before that, the Monkees, but it was literally front two rows and it turns out that is NOT a great place to be when you've got sensory issues!
