Hello again, FARK! Tin Soldier is my web serial and it's free to read, although you will turn up my Patreon page (which is badly in need of updating) if you look for it and want to help me pay for the webspace in exchange for some extra stuff and that warm feeling you get from supporting your local writer.

House Rules

-For a month of free TF, read some of my web serial and give me a useful opinion (I already know it sucks!).
--You can comment here or there, but if you comment there, remember to link me back to your profile here so I know who to give the TF!
-You can start from the very beginning or hit up the New Readers' Page for other places to pick up the story.
-Ask me anything! In-character answers available upon request.
-Spoilers OK, but warn people.
-The site is probably not FARKed. Check your security settings and extensions first.
-Support FARK! - there are lots of new options!
-If nothing else, you can post ponies, (or Steven Universe!) I'm a fan.

This week: Milo and Erik discover mind-to-mind communication is not a toy, and the author runs off with Steven Universe's fusion-as-relationship metaphor clutched in her hot little hand.

Give Tin Soldier a click and you'll see Erik say: "Dolls can't hold hands because they don't have fingers, but I'm not sure what it means."

This installment is the end result of a long plotline and may be a really weird place to pick up the story. In condensed form, what you need to know is:
-Milo doesn't speak and Erik has trouble speaking, but Erik can straighten himself out for a little while if he sings.
-Erik gets random updates from the gods, among other things, and he and Milo can kinda understand each other without speaking, but it's been out of their control most of the time.
-Milo is one of two people sharing a body and the other one, Ann, makes herself known as a voice in his head when he's the one in control. Only Milo can hear her.
-Erik almost lent his body to a god so he could rescue his uncle from a street gang, and this particular god kills people so that would've been the nature of the rescue.
-Erik is eight, so that especially sucks for him.
-Ann and Milo recently decided Erik's adoptive uncle is their adoptive dad, so Erik is family too.
-Oh, and Erik's friend Maggie got very upset and tried to set someone on fire, but that's all sorted out!
