So the tree (well, trees, technically, since the big one fell on another one) are all cut down, and my neighbor brought over his wood chipper, so I now I have a huge pile of wood chips attracting termites and a bunch of 15-18" logs about 18" in diameter. I don't have a fireplace. And on top of that, this is sweetgum, which no one wants to burn because it smells bad. Our "off-the-grid" neighbor who has a woodstove and a solar panel on his tiny camper he lives in wasn't interested.

I mean, I can leave it out and let it rot over the course of the next few years, but it seems like there should be something useful for it. It's kind of pretty in its own way, but sweetgum isn't the best to work with because as it dries it shrivels and cracks.

I was thinking about giving it as gifts, but the shipping costs are a bit prohibitive.

So take the quiz, and come back and let me know what I should do with a large number of logs no one wants.

Winners and easiest hardest are in the NotNewsletter.

Don't forget the Easy Quiz.

Good luck, and let me know if you have any issues.

Yeah, the questions were too hard.

Spread it out all over part of the yard, or use it as a cover crop in your garden (if you have one). It'll eventually rot. My guess is that it's more likely to attract termites if left in a big pile.

Considering how much time I spend on here, I'm still amazed at how many stories I completely miss.

First time in a long time I got 11 out of 11.

You got a local park that gets muddy trails at times?  Dump 'em there to serve as puncheon.

Dude, I'm so far out in the boonies my Internet connection is run through a cell phone and two routers because they have a "one device at a time" rule on their mobile hotspot deal.

We'r do have a couple of recreational parks near lakes that are state property nearby, but trust me when I say they have their fair share of tree pieces after that last storm.

It seems like I read almost all of the headlines and at least skim through more than 80% of TFAs, and every quiz I recognize far less than half of the questions. Hats off to you, Quizmitter.

The weeks when I do well are weeks when I read more headlines on my phone, as the mobile headlines provide more information  on the TFAs.

You put a lot of work into selecting funny and plausible distractors - have you considered displaying all of them in the results review, rather than just the chosen and correct answer? I was going to quiz a friend, but it's not quite as fun without them :)

I'll try to talk to the dev team about that. I often run into the same issue when I quiz my friends and family, but I have the originals as well. 😊
