You know who else was banished to the desert?  Jesus.  And then He ascended unto Heaven.  Unlike many of these airplanes.  They're scrap waiting to happen.

Thanks to their higher fueling and maintenance costs, the 4 engined passenger planes are now an endangered species: 747, A340, A380. I've flown only the 747 out of the three, and probably not since 20 years ago.
