This isn't Ayyadurai's first Senate run. In 2018, he badly lost an independent Senate bid for the seat held by Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) in which he urged voters to back "the REAL Indian."

You'll have the pro-anti-vaxxers versus the anti-anti-vaxxers, which will cause a further schism into the pro-anti-anti-vaxxers and the anti-pro-anti-vaxxers and the whole lot of them will just keep dragging down the median IQ of the planet.

I'd like to see these guys prove their invulnerability to alleged medical conditions once and for all with olde-fashioned jousting in a stadium reopened and staffed and of course populated by their supporters just for the special event. With sports all on hiatus they and the sports channels could earn some much-needed revenue.  It would sure beat the classic sports games the channels are running now.

I have always held the belief that a large number of anti-vaxxers were either too cheap to pay for vaccinations or too poor and both were too embarrassed to admit it. So they just used the excuse that they were anti-vaccines.

I also believe that a good number of the vocal online anti-vaxxers are trolls just trying to start conflict for entertainment. Not as many trolls as Flat-Earthers, whom I believe are about 90-95% trolls.

Yes. And I have mixed emotions about how mommy bloggers morphed into Karen. On one hand, great. On the other, the implied "I haz blog, iz very serious" time-on-hands bullshiat that now goes uninsulted.

The flat earthers are spurred on by several real scientists trying to find creative ways to twist things in favor something clearly un-true. It helps filter scientists who can tell the difference (of bad vs good science), vs people who cannot.  I know some of them and while it is eye rolling, it got more traction than the cold fusion and the infinite energy guys. But they like to twist that stuff too.  I find it irritating, but they do keep me on my toes.

The anti-vaccine stuff is mostly idiotic nonsense of a similar scale.

Having said that, here's where I ruin myself.  Certain subcategories of humans do have serious problems with some vaccines.  There's a suggested waiting period to ensure no serious side effects and most people do not observe that precaution.

You can't tell when a baby is immunocompromised until it's too late unless you're watching.  The desirable triggering of an immune response can lead to a cytokine storm and death in ... what, 1 in a
Million?  So we have several deaths every year feeding the hype.  Unknown allergies can also cause issues of a similar type.  So add a few more to the list.

I think we should be more adamant about testing after vaccines in the very-young, to ensure there's no serious over-reaction.  It would have saved the lives of the babies I specifically know about who did get confirmation of the cause.

I don't know about your state but MediCal will pay 100% of all childhood vaccines if you can't afford them. There's literally no excuse other than being purposely antagonistic.

Conspiracy theories are super promiscuous. I am holding my tongue on Mommy Bloggers and Jenny McCarthy, though.

Without any way of distinguishing between fact and nonsense, conspiracy theories breed and exchange DNA like microbes. You gotta have some sort of epistemology or else your head is as open as a car port or picnic table to the winds of rumour and falsehood.
