"OMG Chuck Todd omitted Barr's obvious lie which makes Chuck Todd the liar!"

Can't Newt and Gym Jordan find any new pedophiles to protect?

Chuck Todd only made a mistake because he loves his country so much. Surely Newt can relate to how that feels.

He was kicked out of office in disgrace more than 20 years ago.  Stop paying attention to him.

When you name you son Newt you are pretty condemning to the fate of growing up to be a soulless monster.

Turns out there's a statute of limitations on disgrace.

So...Flynn was unfairly released from service for just accidentally mishandling classified materials? It was totes unfair to use his confession?

Tell us the one how Clinton killed a bunch of people in Times Square and The Left just cheered, next!

Gingrich the thrice divorced serial adulterer?

So basically Chuck Todd cynically took Barr's quote out of context so he could declare Barr is cynical.

That is the epitome of liberal projection right there, folks

It isnt any of my business if you get off by letting people like Chuck Todd spoon-feed you fake outrage and misinformation while the truth stares you in the face, but I'm not going to hide my contempt for you either.

Barr's words about the rule of law don't mean shiat. His actions have repeatedly demonstrated that he doesn't give the slightest hint of a fark about the law.

WTF, Newsweek?

I don't understand Gingrich's argument here.  Regardless of what Barr said following that controversial comment, Barr still said it. It's an incredibly cynical and inappropriate answer. It's another "said the quiet part out loud" moment. Whether true or not, all Barr had to say was "the case didn't meet the Rule of Law or standards of justice" or whatever legal mumbo jumbo he wanted to use.
Instead, he went with "Hey, if we get Flynn off the hook, and Trump is re-elected, then we are clearly in the right here". It's unbelievable anyone would try to spin Barr's words, but then again, Newt Gingrich still exists.

Todd's accusation was that Barr was cynical because he didn't mention the rule of law.  Todd lied to you.  As I said above, it is none of my business if you like being lied to so much that you defend the liars, but that seems pretty f*cked up to me.

There are few things in the universe more cringe inducing other than Newt Gingrich trying to pull off his historian / orator of the 20th century side gig. You can't rewrite this shiat

"Newton Leroy McPherson" (I forget when/why he adopted the Gingrich, but I think it has to do with an abusive dad. Might be another thing he and Bill Clinton have in common, to go with philandering and a zest for the oral)

Merciless teasing in childhood can create empathy or it can be the villain's origin story.

// pretty sure Jerry/Larry/Garry/Gary Gengurch is based on him
// at least name and physical appearance

That asshole knew what he was doing and if I pulled shiat like that I would (rightfully) spend at minimum 5-10 years in prison.

The bastard deserves scorn, derision, a loss of all rank and pay, then he should finish at least a decade in jail.

Besides Newt's complaint being bullshiat, does he think he's going to get any traction by ripping on Chuck Todd? Todd's the worst thing to happen to Meet the Press, ever.

Remember when being a whiny baby who shuts down the government out of spite could lead you to losing office? Now days that's merely a blip on the radar.

If you ever have any integrity, Newt, maybe you can get back to us. Until then GTFO.

Some journo on TV cherry-picked a quote to make Barr look bad, therefore all liberals are bad, and Trump is best president.

Barr was being questioned over his decision to drop the case against former National Security Advisor and decorated military general Michael Flynn-who was illegally targeted by the Obama administration's FBI for a politically-motivated prosecution.
