I recommend Aggretsuko in Japanese with subtitles.

Avatar 8nstead of Korra? List fails.

Also, no Samurai Jack.

Missing:

Wakfu, Samurai Jack, The Venture Bros.

As much as I enjoyed BoJack Horseman, I just couldn't see anything entertaining in Tuca And Bertie. I don't understand why, either. All the components were there, but the finished product just didn't work.

Space Ghost Coast to Coast

That's a name I've not heard in a long time

JL/JLU, Young Justice and American Dad strangely absent

The Life and Times of Tim needs to be on this list

Somebody had better put The Real Ghostbusters back on Netflix goddammit. I mean I have the DVDs but it was convenient.

Darkwing Duck is also missing

2020-05-14 7:32:04 AM
Is the Avatar cartoon as good as that Night Shyamalan movie it is based on? That was pretty cool.

Ralph Bakshi's Mighty Mouse: The New Adventures deserves to listed just for introducing Bat-Bat and his sidekick Tick the Bug Wonder to audiences...

Another vote for Samurai Jack. Props for trying to include all genres of animation series though. That's quite the broad list.

What's more heartless than pilfering a roll of toilet paper? Transforming it into a roll of 20s! The squeezably-soft counterfeiter, next on Sick, Sad World!

Tuca & Bertie (2019; one season) Tragically Blissfully canceled after one season . . .

Fixed that for the article

Bluey  BBC Australia or Disney+
It is really funny, jokes for kids and adults. Horsey wedding is hysterical.

And thanks to the music licensing issues the show is a shadow of its former self.

I stumbled across the new Mickey Mouse cartoons they mention at the end and was surprised by the quality. And the writing is pretty cheeky for Disney.

I feel we recently had a thread on an almost identical list that was also missing Venture Bros.

Hearing Donald Duck yell "Yippee-ki-yay, Mister Falcon!" in a recent Duck Tales caused me to pause the DVR for two minutes to recover from the lulz.

Solar Opposites is worth a watch. Yes, it has some similarities to Rick & Morty. So does every other story that's ever been told in any medium throughout time and space, on Earth and among all other worlds and civilizations that have ever been or ever will be. Just shut up and enjoy things.

Love, Death, and Robots is good too; a loosely connected series of vignettes in different animation styles with gore or sex or gory sex or humor. Also--Finally!--a thorough treatment of "what if we time traveled to kill Hitler?" so the topic can now be put to bed.

Also voting in agreement with previous posters on Disenchantment, Venture Brothers, Big Mouth, and Amazing World of Gumball.

Yes, I italicized the commas in the preceding list. I was too lazy to select each title separately. Sue me*.

* Don't, though, because I haven't found myself a good lawyer around here yet.

List fails with Thundarr The Barbarian.

Seriously, will you ever have as cool a name as "Thundarr"? I thought not. On top of all that, he's a barbarian. Think about that.

Starkaryen: JL/JLU, Young Justice and

American Dad strangely absent

I used to say the writing on American Dad was better than that on Family Guy, but something happened when they moved to TBS.  The new season has been unwatchably bad.

I find myself holding out and waiting for the horrific trainwreck that is their annual Christmas episode.

I'm going to go ahead and recommend My Hero Academia. I thought it was a dumb beat 'em up when I first heard about it, but after watching it I'm a fan. It has a lot of heart and watching the characters struggle and push themselves in an earnest effort to become better is heartwarming. And in spite of a ridiculously huge cast, most of them are good, well rounded characters.

thecactusman17: Missing:

Wakfu, Samurai Jack, The Venture Bros.

Venture Brothers is best for streaming since the continuity goes so far up its own ass you're locked out after season 2 for wondering why everything is happening. Hell, I couldn't make sense out of season 5 or 6 due to not seeing the preseason "All That and Gargantua 2"

Where can you stream the Munchi chi's?

And what was the one where they all wore little sweaters and lived in a tree in the park?

If anyone needs the anime equivalent of a delicious bowl of soup served while you wrap yourself in your favorite blanket, I highly recommend Flying Witch.
I discovered it at exactly the right time as I had hit maximum stress. There's no major conflict, no fights, just great characters and scenery and outstanding music. I never thought I could be entertained by watching someone cook sprouts. Only 12 episodes sadly.

2020-05-14 9:41:59 AM
Wow, that's...quite the fail list.  Venture Bros. (Hulu), Metalocalypse (Adult Swim), original Ren & Stimpy (Amazon),  the new Castlevania (Netflix), Clone Wars (Disney+), etc.

Same with Bleach and Inuyasha.

Not streaming but i'd add Megas XLR. Hilarious series. So many pop culture nods. Even two episodes with Bruce Campbell as a MODOK looking baddy.

Haven't tried that one, but I'm a big fan of Little Witch Academia. Sucy and Constanze are my favorite characters there.

Sucy because she's batshiat, bugnuts, off the deep end insane in a Morticia Addams kind of way.

Constanze because she takes no shiat from anyone. And if you dared to anger her she will engineer something to truly kick your ass.

My daughter used to use "demon dogs!" as an expletive.
It's a lot better than most bad words. I should introduce it to my grandson...
