It's just such a no-brainer.    The Democratic Party is poised to do some really good things in the next 4 years,

And if any of you are just going to be assholes about this, I don't want to engage you.

I do think it is a good thing and less of an error than the 2016 Pokemon Go blurb that became the hallmark moment for Christ could you be any more of an Ahole? thing to remember about the candidate. Better that than leaving Joe's "Come on, Give me a break moment" of youth outreach as what young people remember about Joe caring about them.

Continue to campaign relentlessly for Trump

2020-05-13 2:44:23 PM
The task forces bring together prominent surrogates from both camps in an effort to shore up support from progressives who supported Sanders in the primary but are wary of the more centrist Biden.

This is the graph I'm biting my tongue over.

Does this mean that they are going to stop siding with their trump buddies about Biden being a sexual monster?  That note is getting old, particularly how they are completely silent about trump's serial raping.

Maybe they will just pout and stay home so their real hero trump gets reelected.

Sanders is a good guy and a team player in generals and he's doing his best to make sure the Democrats win. Task Forces are nothing. They're bullshiat. Task forces are the much-derided Exploratory Committees under a name that appeals to military worshipers. You can talk until you're blue in the face, but we'll see who the Senator from Mastercard puts in his cabinet. My bet: it's gonna be more people like Larry Summers than it is people like Bernie Sanders, and nothing will change.

2020-05-13 2:49:29 PM
I'm glad Bernie showed that he's not a real progressive before I voted for him in my state's upcoming primary.

That reminds me that I'd better check into the when the deadline to register is. I'm pretty sure my registration is inactive.

C'mon, now.

It isn't as if Sanders is some Russian Oligarch donor funneling campaign contributions or a fixer on Ukraine's payroll Biden has hired to work for free as an advisor.

This is just two old guys sitting around talking about the way things might have been. Probably throwing breadcrumbs to the pigeons.

You got nothing to worry about.

If you claim to support Sanders and vote for the living embodiment of everything he stands against then you were never a Sanders supporter in the first place.

Those aren't Democrats. Their DINOs, and deserve to be treated as such. And yet every single one is a darling of the party.

There's no real surprises on that list of Dems who voted for it.  So brave.

Good.

This was a necessary, common-sense thing that Biden was pretty much required to do, and he's been such a bad candidate to this point that I was losing faith that he'd manage to clear even that rock-bottom minimum bar and basically go out of his way to give the election to Trump instead.

Congratulations on finally clearing the minimum bar for not outright failing remedial school as a candidate, Joe.  Here's hoping it'll be enough.

11 Democrats out of 45, or less than 25% voted it down, compared to 99.9% of Republicans voting for it. This is not them "making it difficult" this is you setting an unreasonable expectation of perfection. If only 25% of a party sucks, that's pretty damn good.

I'm curious what their reasoning was.

Quite often a bill has more aspects hidden in the language.

btw, right now, this is the party of Pelosi - if you mean highest ranking and elected.

Biden likely had nothing to do with this vote, much less lead the way for these 10 D's votes.

A lot of the votes for Trump in 2016 were votes against Clinton. Sanders never elicited the hatred that Clinton did. Couple that with a grossly mismanaged campaign and yes, I believe Sanders would have beaten Trump in 2016. As for 2020 I honestly believe that Biden, Warren and Sanders all have an equal chance of beating Trump as long as they run a average campaign and choose a running mate that reaches out to the other side of the DNC platform.

If Biden loses because he couldn't earn the votes then that's on Biden, same as it was on Clinton, and yes same is it is for Sanders during the primary too.  Blaming liberals for another preventable loss like you did with Gore, Kerry, and Clinton is just being intellectually lazy.
