I feel obligated to mention that it's no romantic comedy.  Maybe unintentionally funny at some points, but mostly weird and creepy.

The guy has to have some sort of special needs, right?  Under what circumstance would he ever think that this plan would work, forget quarantines and covid travel restrictions, but after 9/11!

There was just a news story where a five-year-old stole his parents car to drive to California to buy a Lamborghini. They never explained how the kid could reach the pedals and drive as far as he did, but that kid was five, this guy is 20!
