How about the NAACP president takes a nice big shiat on his front porch. He can claim it looked like a pretty rock

If you feel you have to come up with a shiatty excuse for your action, that should be a sign that maybe, just maybe, you're as good a human being as your excuse is good. It's time to sit back and think back on what led you to where you are, and to fully examine the values you carry to see if they're actually worth anything.

The perp is uh, homeless and possibly mentally ill.

Even the homeowner is advocating for the guy to get some help and believes it was not motivated by racism.

Don't worry, other people will come along and plant a cute T on the NAACP president's lawn.

I can see why a mentally handicapped man though flower instead of target when he found the thing, I doubt I would have quickly figured out it was a target on my own.

Why can't we just make these "people" disappear? They certainly will not be missed and the world would be so much better.

forgot to add: normally I'd be all for throwing the book at someone for intimidation shiat like this, but it sounds like the Caldwell (the NAACP president homeowner) is chalking it up to "crazy old homeless dude doing random shiat".

Do you not think someone paid him and provided him with the target?
Did he grab it from someone else's lawn?

The victim has come out and said it wasn't racist. But we probably can't trust a civil rights leader to spot a racist act.

Uh...sure. So charge that person. And given the preponderance of evidence we've been given to back your theory it shouldn't be hard to figure out who it might be

The article conflicts with their years of brainwashing and confuses them.  The German people overcame their years on indoctrination, perhaps progressives will also one day return to a state of mental normalcy.

Difficulty: homeless.  I guess the NAACP pres.  can take a dump in the sidewalk instead, except he would probably have to pay San Francisco a licensing fee for their intellectual property first.

Thanks for saying this. It would be nice if this society has turned a corner.
Given the area of the country and the overall impression of racial intolerance, how nice to see an example where the idiocy of racism is being dismissed early in the resolution.

The guy's nuts. Let's deal with getting him help as opposed to getting on the news for another 3 months of rioting and finger pointing.

Maybe we are slowly growing up, and gradually growing together.

Yeah, under the circumstances, it sounds like the alleged victim knew that this particular perpetrator was the kind of mentally ill person who would do such a thing and have no evil intent behind it. I'm guessing  without other evidence that "mentally ill" in this case may be code for "mentally challenged" because that would explain why he thought that thing was a flower picture.

Sometimes a racist act is just a mental guy being mental.

Ahh yes, the righteous woke white Fark brigade saw another opportunity to yell about RAcISM!!  from their comfy white homes, miles away from any black neighborhoods, then patted themselves on the back and felt confident that their meaningless righteous indignation secured them a swanky spot on the moral high ground.   Unfortunately in this case the perpetrator was actually mentally ill African American man.  Now - a conundrum!  Do they flee the thread, or backpedal and offer meaningless support for the poor confused soul who committed the unfortunate act.  Who knew useless posturing was so difficult in the anonymous world of social media???

Not this one. I caught an earlier report. So the dude has mental problems and is homeless? I can understand why the NAACP lead asked for mercy and understanding of his actions.

As a white Southerner, I am particularly sensitive to racists, KKK, etc. I grew up during segregation, white supremacy and its hatefulness. Glad this was a case of a confused homeless dude, instead of something worse.

Considering the black jogger was murdered/lynched in broad daylight recently I can understand why people might be feeling a bit reactionary. Perhaps cynicism doesn't suit you.
