But wouldn't calling it "the village with no name" sort of become its name, and thus invoke the evil?

If the town has no name, then you can be sure the streets have no name.

There's a city in Italy that dates back to antiquity, when it was known as Maleventum: "place where something bad happened". Nobody really knows what it was. So eventually they changed the name to Beneventum (today Benevento). Problem solved!

Rush had the perfect name for a nameless Italian village: La Villa Strangiato

Incidentally, Alex Lifeson once said this is one of their most technically challenging pieces. Love Geddy's bass solo on this one.

You could tell us which movie it is so those of us under 50 could go find it and view this cinematic marvel...

FTFA: Only visitors to the village are believed to be prone to suffering the terrible consquences of Colobraro's bad luck.
"These spooky things only happen to people who come here for the first time in their lives and who believe in the omen."

In other words, the whole thing is confirmation bias.

While the masciare are said to no longer exist - or live in the village - many fear their powers are still present.

Who told you they don't exist? The liberal media? The Italian government, from deep within the pocket of George Soros? A priest of the Roman Catholic church that has been covering for the witches since before the Colonel went tits up?

Wake up, sheeple.

Crazy people are part of the fun on Fark. That's why I never put anyone on ignore. I need a constant reminder of just how stupid people are, otherwise I forget, then I get extra irritated when I run into a stupid person.

As a business owner I find Fark a constant source of wonder and information. Often about myself.

Think about it. In life we meet people, make friends, and sometimes step back and say, "You rock!". Or, "Oh, dear!".

But, as an employer, you put together a job specification, advertise, filter responses, interview applicants, match their skills to specs, check references, etc. And then you hire them.

Sometimes it works. Brilliantly. And everyone wonders how they operated before this great person arrived.

And sometimes it turns to shiat so badly you're left wondering how 'you' got it so wrong. How could your judgement be so 'off'?

And unlike bad friend choices, this blunder can affect so many people. Bummer.

So, Fark weirdos are a delight. Give them a 'pink' colour, tag them, or in extreme cases, 'Ignore'. So easy.

Fark is therapeutic...
