Hello again, FARK! Tin Soldier is my web serial and it's free to read, although you will turn up my Patreon page (which is badly in need of updating) if you look for it and want to help me pay for the webspace in exchange for some extra stuff and that warm feeling you get from supporting your local writer.

House Rules

-For a month of free TF, read some of my web serial and give me a useful opinion (I already know it sucks!).
--You can comment here or there, but if you comment there, remember to link me back to your profile here so I know who to give the TF!
-You can start from the very beginning or hit up the New Readers' Page for other places to pick up the story.
-Ask me anything! In-character answers available upon request.
-Spoilers OK, but warn people.
-The site is probably not FARKed. Check your security settings and extensions first.
-Support FARK! - there are lots of new options!
-If nothing else, you can post ponies, I'm a fan.

This week's installment is dark as hell, so you'd better be in a mood for it. We delve into the past of one of the Marselline Army's premiere generals as she tries to prevent her daughter from becoming too much like her. May I suggest the one where the children steal a car and drive it on the sidewalk as an alternative place to begin, if you are not too invested in the current plotline?

Give Tin Soldier a click and you'll see Mordecai say: "...I lead a strange life. For instance, Lucy's highchair looks like an enormous pink spider and several outside parties have confirmed this..."

Also, I made this for fun:

Here's a blank if you have a message you think God would write across the sky for any future threads:

I kind of know who you (I mean your username) are now, and I've started my last unread book now, so I'm in on starting to read this soon. I buy by the year so don't need TF, BF, or a squirrel, but thanks!

I don't know how helpful I'll be as a true critic, I suspect that if I tried to do it for a living I'd be fired for liking too many books, albums, plays, what have you lol.

It's okay! I'm just in if for the attention. I'll try to improve if you find something crummy (a heads up on typos is always appreciated) and if you like something, I'll try to do it more. It's like stand-up comedy and sex - you change your behavior based on the noises you're hearing!

(Right now I'm trying to figure out what to do so my images pop up a text description across browsers, for accessibility, just in case you or anyone else needs text-to-speech.)

Wait. You... you mean I'll have an outlet for my inner grammar nazi that I've been seriously suppressing for years?! I'M ALL IN, GIRL.

I'll be no help in the tech department. Though I keep up as much as I can, I be olllld.
