Go eGuido!

This is gonna be fun to watch if the kids do go in blind

I wish they'd bring back some of the old rules like racing to the yellow since it's not physically dangerous any more.

I still hate Jeff Gordon.

He and Bobby Labonte are my picks, since they've actually raced there in Cup competition.  Junior is a close third, since he ran late models there.

Honestly I'm shocked they couldn't coax Mark Martin into racing today.  Or either Petty, more than likely Kyle, though we'd have wanted Richard.  Actually, King Richard and He Who Shall Not Be Named facing off would've been the first time two seven-time Cup champs raced each other in a NASCAR sanctioned event; Dale Sr. was only at five when Petty retired.  The difference, of course, being that Petty earned his seven.

No eGuido today - Jon Wood is wheeling the virtual Wood Brothers entry.

Watching Junior's Twitch stream, and DAMN they did it!  It looks like it did when I first got into racing!

For what it's worth, John Hunter Nemecheck and Chase Elliott have both raced at North Wilkesboro for real.  Nemechek raced in the Allison Legacy Series and Elliott in PASS back in 2010.  Not sure if that translates over to virtual racing, but they've actually had on-track experience in it. (Elliott even won the PASS race before getting DQ'd for post-race inspection)

That's not what the track looks like now...there's a grandstand that goes all around turn 1 through turn 3.  But nice 80's era rendering.

/Worked on bringing the track back a few years ago...

Is this the race where Chase had "lost" a lead weight  and the car was underweight

Remember when he was a respected, popular owner, but then started f*cking Erin Crocker, and that was the end of everything for him?

Guys, this is bringing back a lot of memories.  Brett Bodine's win was the first race I really paid any attention to.  And they nailed the look of the track, right down to the camera angles!

I think so.

I think like every race PASS' winner would get DQ'd.  Tom Mayburry didn't mess around when it came to rules...the man probably financed his purses based on fines alone, lol

Really don't think it was the end of everything for him remotely. It did her racing career no favors.

I gotta say, this is a really cool race. As someone who started really watching NASCAR around ~2001, after the track was off the schedule, it's fun to see a real - if virtual - race at North Wilkesboro.

Also, thank you to the kind person who gifted me TotalFark - I'll try to make good use of it.

And Custer puts his custard through a spin cycle. Whoops!

And also nearly ended Jeremy Mayfield's career.  THEN he took care of that himself.
