Nine years, and it still hurts him.

Due to a lack of confidence, the man can't stand being roasted.

In his heart he knows he'll never measure up, he tries to keep a front because he thinks he can fool people.  The only people still being fooled are the ones fooling themselves. I am pretty certain there is nothing he could do to change their minds.

"I don't mind being, you know, treated properly where you do something wrong, they write that you did something wrong."

Ahem.

Bullshiat.

Everything he does is "perfect" and so he does nothing wrong. I've said this before: He's a New York City guy. The New York Times is the paper of record. He wants to be accepted by them as the best guy ever at everything.

You see the hostility

He's not wrong about that, but maybe it's because he's a lying sack of shiat that constantly attacks the free press as "fake news", personally insults the reporters, and repeatedly has declared them the enemy of the people.

That's why they hate you, Donald. You're a lying asshole who openly treats them as enemies. Did you expect them to love you, dumbass?

He desperately wants them to fear him. He honestly thinks being president means he is above the law, a emperor with unlimited power. He expects everyone to act like his employees, falling over themselves to please him. He needs the people around him to fear him, it's his entire concept of power and importance and he has tied his identity strongly to that perception.

Deep down, he knows he's not rich, he knows he's not powerful personally, he knows its all a scam - and he's terrified of anything that threatens to reveal that. Consciously, he wants the rebellious people who displease him punished.

"That no-talent comic was nasty - 'marble mouth', because he can't speak properly. But Obama treated me fine. And I left that I remember saying I had such a great time that night," Trump recounted.

Always demonstrating the self-awareness he's famed for.

Entitled snowflake is entitled.

MrBallou: You see the hostility

He's not wrong about that,

He's very wrong about that. Not in his head, mind you, but on a good day that place only has a passing resemblance to reality. No, he has a press that treats him with kid gloves. Playing softball with him would be a step up, they've stepped down to teeball, and he still cries about having to swing instead of just skipping to the awards ceremony. He couldn't handle the press doing their jobs, and an actual hostile press would reduce him to tears.

2020-05-06 10:41:26 AM
Awwww...Tiddy-Baby is afraid that the meanie-faces in the press are going to say true things in a space he won't be able to control. And will be stuck in if he does go and the meanie-faces make fun of him.

Worse, actually. It's not that he can't control the speakers, it's that he knows that he can't control himself.

He's said that he's never been to confession because he's never done anything wrong and he's mentioned his "great genes" a ridiculous number of times.

You really don't need the quotes. Trump truly believes that he's the perfect man and that Ivanka is the perfect woman.

Again, this is why it is important for everybody to get out and vote. Imagine the day after the election, when 70, 80 million or even voted against Trump... imagine red states turning blue, or at least purple. Imagine the unthinkable, GOP strongholds, shaken by ballot recounts in elections too close to call.

Imagine how Trump will howl when that happens... imagine his despair. Every. Vote. Counts.

This can happen, if we get out and VOTE in November. Send the message!

Send him to twist in the wind.

Trump doesn't have even a modicum of a sense of humor

LOL because Trump really brings out the A-listers.  Scott Baio, Dean Cain, and Jon Voight might have had to clear their schedules.

Seth Meyer's silly little jokes he sidelines his show-at-home with are refreshing. I like 'em. Getting his kids in on it (who couldn't follow stage direction) was a hoot.

I never paid much attention to late-night comedy before, but Seth Meyers is a new Quarantinewhile favorite because I love dry humor.

No wonder Trump is confused and angry.  He can't figure out which parts are funny.

Of course he thinks he had a good time being roasted by Obama, he mentioned Trump's name like a bazillion times, which coincides with the amount of money Trump totally has

"That no-talent comic was nasty - 'marble mouth', because he can't speak properly."

Trump then went on to mock the "styled straw" Seth calls hair, caked on orange makeup he uses because he thinks it makes him look vibrant rather than like a circus clown, and for being just 5'9" but 325 lbs...

It's ALMOST like truth is passing his lips - missed it by that much!

Only if say something less than glowing about him. He STILL hates the editor of Vanity Fair because about twenty five years ago, he called Trump a "short-fingered vulgarian".

Doing Trump a favor is when his memory gets a little iffy. See: Prince al-Waleed bin Talal

Good point. They all hate him (my point), but they don't hold him accountable for what he says, which they should (your point). The whole world would be better off if they had done that from the beginning.

what are you, Canadian?

the White House didn't do anything wrong. It's a beautiful building with immense historical value. It'll have to be aired out and deep cleaned to get rid of the smell of McDonald's farts, cheap cologne, and old man smell, but burning it down seems extreme.

Always with that disconnect between behaviour and consequence.  Just one of the many things that itches one's knuckles when around people like this.  What's that definition of stress, again?
