No wonder Mitch is rushing now to shove thru judges.

I really hope that if the Democrats manage to sweep and win big that Biden learned his lesson from 2010 when Obama let himself get jerked around, and instead the Democrats just shut out the GOP and implement sweeping changes while ignoring their cries and whines.

I have no idea how that race is as close as the polls say. Everyone I know hates him, even my tea bagger friends can't stand the guy. If Colorado would have deported all the Texans, I doubt he'd get more than 5 votes.

Maybe. Or only the cultist show up at the polls in greater numbers because too many sane folks sat this one out as well. Guess we'll see in Nov

If the Dems take the White House and Senate, there will be a bill passed that expands the number of judgeships on the Courts of Appeals (and probably many District Courts) by 2-3 per Circuit, and the Dems will ram through nominations for those vacancies the same way that the GOP did.  You can't remove judges that Trump appointed, but you can sure water down their influence.

Well that's why we needed to nominate a moderate candidate who will compromise with the Republicans.  After all we want things to go back to the way they were, not actually change and improve.

Here in Texas, we don't want them back. Now the influx of progressive Californians? I'm cool with them.

Bullock up 46-39; within margin of error

Huh, that's a huge margin of error. What kind of crap poll is this?

The poll's margin of error is plus-or-minus 4.6 percentage points.

mAtH iZ hArD.

"I think it's certainly reasonable to assume that the race is probably within the margin of error and too close to call," he told MTN News. "So, while we show a lead (for Bullock), it's within the margin of error, so I would say, yeah, this is a competitive Senate race."

This is the pollster talking. What is the margin of error? I know less than before I read the article.

Colorado has some weird voters. I never understood it.

I lived up in Summit County in the late 90's early 00's, where hippies abound, but come election day, conservationism won out more often than not.

That, and the bible thumpers always confounded me.

That's because any Republican who publicly says that Trump is wrong isn't just going to have to run again their opponent, their going to have to run against Trump, who, whether they ask for his help or not, is going to say, "He was begging me for my help and I told him that maybe he should've been nicer to me."

It's because hippies and ski bums don't vote. I was a snowboard instructor for several years and I doubt a single one of my coworkers voted. Sure, they'll get stoned and biatch about the man, but you have to temper your expectations when dealign with people who haven't even changed their car registration for 6 years.

There is no getting cocky this election year.

It's not enough for Trump to lose, it needs to be a massive electoral and popular defeat. It has to be such a huge collective "fark you" loud and clear to Trump and his Kool-Aid drinking supporters that we have all had it with their bullshiat.

That won't be enough to make them crawl back into the woodwork from whence they came, but it is a necessary first step.

I sort of low key hate it when interesting looking actresses get work done or wear makeup or whatever to look more "conventionally" attractive. Like, what made you interesting and different was that you weren't a goddamn clone of every other actress out there.

I agree, with a caveat.

Montana has an odd number of... I don't know how to put it... conservatives who aren't necessarily "Republicans" in the sense of what I'm used to seeing as a Republican.

In most places I've seen, conservatives are rather cookie cutter. In Montana, property rights people regularly fight with sportsmen and water rights people. Where I live, I NEVER see, say, the sportsmen/fishermen rally against the local farming industries (dairy or logging, both of which are particularly detrimental to salmon). The only "property rights" conservatives here DON'T like are the federal government's ownership of forest lands.
