I'm sure the transition will be as smooth as this administration.

They'll be pulling poop out of the ventilation system for months.

2020-05-05 9:18:12 AM
If he loses, the Inauguration in 2021 will be one of the best-attended and celebrated in a long time.

2020-05-05 9:18:46 AM
He's going to have to be sedated and carried out by the Secret Service.

2020-05-05 9:19:43 AM
At the least, we'll need a new White House.

2020-05-05 9:21:42 AM
He didn't have shiat for a transition team going in; it'd be silly to think he'd prepare for his exit.

I plan to go to the WH the night of the election and yell "You're fired!" and "GTFO" all night.

This is going to be like one of those nightmare videos you see on YouTube where some poor guy is wandering through the house he rents out after the previous tenants were evicted and there are mountains of empty beer bottles, pizza boxes, puke stains and dog shiat everywhere.

We'll need to gut the White House when (if) we kick Trump out of it.

that's assuming they don't have to hold it in secret because President temper tantrum decides to try to keep his office by force.

2020-05-05 9:26:01 AM
During the actual inauguration itself, there is a huge, well orchestrated process where the previous occupant's personal effects, clothing, bed linens, mattresses, furniture, draperies, carpets, etc are all quickly replaced just in time for the newly sworn in President and his or her family to move in with minimal disruption.

Assuming America doesn't do the monumentally stupid thing of reelecting Dump for a second term, Biden should order the moving team to pile everything on the Rose Garden lawn, douse it with gasoline, and torch it.

I'm guessing he won't attend. He'll either sulk and have to be "escorted" off the White House grounds, or he'll launch Trump TV with counter programming that starts during the inauguration. I have several guesses about the set, but I'm thinking an "Oval Office" set, built at Mar A Largo.

And then we can show three pictures side by side...
Obama's inauguration
Trump's inauguration
Biden's inauguration

And see who's was bigliest

You know he's gonna try to steal every expensive-looking thing that's not nailed down.  And if he can get it pried loose, it's not nailed down.

2020-05-05 9:29:35 AM
He'll leave office one way or another... he'll just leave behind a smoking crater for the next president to deal with.

I really feel sorry for the next president.  He's still going to be dealing with the pandemic, with no administrative infrastructure in place to actually get anything done.  And you know the Repubs will be pouncing on him on day 1 "Why hasn't he cured the COVID yet?!?!? Whaaarrrrgarrbllll!!"

2020-05-05 9:33:25 AM
I'm rather confused what the current administration would share that would be useful.  I can almost see the Biden team reviewing intel reports that sound like a 911 Truther's fantasy, policy papers written with crayons, and a whole series of appointees with resume's that woud make a porn star blush.

2020-05-05 9:33:27 AM
Trump would need an army to stay if he loses the election and he doesn't have one. He can go peacefully or he can go the hard way. Personally I hope he chooses going the hard way, I would pay to see that.

He's going to steal anything not nailed down, and auction it off to the highest bidder.  Keep an eye on ebay for a deal on the resolute desk.

2020-05-05 9:37:13 AM
I hope not. A fitting end to this disastrous administration, would be for trump, miller, and kushner to be escorted out. Either forcefully, or in handcuffs, I'm ok with either.

2020-05-05 9:37:27 AM
Uh, guys, there's not going to be a huge Inauguration Day in 2021. Remember what Tony Fauci said? We won't have a vaccine yet. A million people are not going to gather in DC.

2020-05-05 9:37:39 AM
Trump already has his go back ready and all he needs is Vlad's permission.

I figure he's already done that to most things in the White House.

2020-05-05 9:38:37 AM
He was "elected" on resentment.  He has governed on resentment.  He's not going to suddenly drop the resentment when the country boots his useless arse out of office.

And, no, he will not be at Biden's inauguration because of the above.

We have trained people specialized in removing pieces of sh*t like that from where they are not authorized.

I'm growing less and less concerned.

I was thinking of something else in them. Remember that scene from the Sopranos where Tony gets a tip that his home is going to be raided? So Tony and Carmela are scurrying around digging cash out of the air ducts.... It'll be like that: lots of cash, probably some gold, and a bunch of spare N-95 masks squirreled away by Jared.

hang on to all the evidence and prosecute everything that can be prosecuted. Holding people accountable is the only way to keep another donald from causing as much harm.

No, he'll attend the inauguration. However he will end up sulking and looking like a bored toddler because he's not getting all the attention. He will try to grab attention where he can, and more than likely will issue a parting shot if someone doesn't medicate him.

Biden is already starting the transition. Trump doesn't need to help and Biden's staff already knows what to do. It will be glorious to watch Trump's own SS detail take him into custody.

2020-05-05 9:42:41 AM
So: around October, tell him that the USA is honoring history by making New York the nation's capital again. Further, they want Trump to be in charge of designing and building the New Trump White House. It's a huge honor. Much bigliest. While the design work is being done, he can live in Trump Tower.

Meanwhile, disinfection can quietly begin in DC.

When will Biden start receiving daily intel briefings?

I'm sure they will be limited, but I found an artificial from May 15, 2016 that said Trump was about to start getting them from Obama's administration. So Biden should be getting them soon.

However, I'd bet Biden gets, errr, READS more intel than Trump will over the summer from sources that see whats happening.

I wonder if he still receives them as former vice-president like former presidents do.

He's not leaving office you farking dullards.  How obvious does it need to be?

Does he want to?  No
Will anyone stop him?  No

Please respond with your fanfic about the sergeant at arms of the senate using a cloak room as a prison cell or whatever.

Not too sedated. He should be aware of the discomfort of the straight-jacked.

It all depends on whether someone voluntarily concedes the election, regardless of how definitive the outcome is.

What a Trump handoff starting in late 2020 might look like

If he loses I suspect the GOP will do everything in their power from nov-jan to fark the incoming administration and hamstring them at every turn

and thats the optimistic version

He's polling at -8 during a national crisis and you expect him to win. That's hilarious

I'm hoping as soon as Joe says the oath, there's a process server ready to hand Trump a very large stack of indictments.

I also hope that as soon as he's no longer the president, his Secret Service detail lines up to slap him a la Airplane.
