Good. MD paid $6.3 milliion upfront and the company has delivered nothing.

"State officials said the company, Blue Flame Medical, failed to deliver masks and ventilators as promised and that the matter has been referred to Maryland Attorney General Brian E. Frosh (D) for review. "

Go get 'em.

That's how we have to view them. That's how we must deal with them.

After hearing about the federal government seizing or redirecting PPE destined for state hospitals, I'm wondering if they've been stealing them from the hospitals and giving them to their syndicate so that they can resell them to the hospitals at thrice the price.

Add "take the money and run" to the end of that, and you've got the GOP strategy in a nutshell.

Hell, we've seen *evidence* of that happening.

I know for a fact that a local hospital has been working with City Council and PD to arrange for PPE to be delivered offsite in unmarked vehicles. They're handling it like shipments of illegal drugs just to hide it from the Feds.

As to them handing it over to donors, they admitted it. They admitted back on April 1st or 2nd that Project Airbridge was handing over everything they got to private companies for "distribution", and they admitted those companies were auctioning it all off.

We're spending close to $800k of taxpayers' money per FEMA flight, and stayes are still having to bid on the stuff brought in on those flights. Of *course* they're doing the same with "confiscated" PPE.

They stole an order from preeminent grocery chain in Texas at the beginning of March that had already been paid for, and they weren't able to get any more until the beginning of April. How do I know? Because I am 4 weeks into the funk that my GF got working there. It's probably about 5 times as prevalent as they say, but no one knows because there aren't any tests, and the one that are around are shiat. It's going to be a really interesting May here...

It's being used as inventory for the same taxpayers to pay for again, with a markup, and hope they see the materials in time to use.

Before moving in to the medical supply business, Gula was known in GOP circles for his political fundraising prowess. His firm has raised campaign funds for Sens. Patrick J. Toomey (Pa.), Steve Daines (Mont.), Ron Johnson (Wis.) and dozens of other influential Republicans. He startled some longtime clients in March when he announced he was quitting the fundraising world during an election year to start the medical supply business with Thomas.

Grifters go where the greatest grift is. This shouldn't be startling to anyone.

Probably worth listening to the whole thing.

I think our administration can be considered ghoulish now.  As in they feed on the corpses.

I'm sure the highest levels are vampiric and are injecting themselves with the blood of recovered individuals.  I 100% guarentee it.  No farking way Pence wandered around without a mask and Truml is glad handing if they don't feel they are immune.

Just ask them, with how important that they stay healthy it would be a derelection of duty to not take the best proven defense.  How many plasma transfusions have they had.  When did they start?  How many people have they bled?

Is it really that staggering to realize that there's nothing in the national stockpile, and there never was?  Nobody was supposed to look.  People were supposed to get paid millions of dollars and nobody was supposed to ask any inconvenient questions.  Sure, there was a 2 or 3 percent chance that we'd need that stuff, but that means there was a 97 or 98 percent chance we wouldn't.  Those are good odds if you're the gambling type.

The mafia actually don't want you to make a lot of loud tributes. They prefer to keep it a bit hushed up. Well, except for some of the more flamboyant ones, like John Gotti. Here in SF, we know there is an organized criminal elements with both Chinese and Russian heads. They keep very quiet and just do what they do (mostly money laundering and other things like that).

Flat, you may be sober but your fingers have been drinking all night.

However, he is correct that the only thing keeping these wannabe gangsters in power is the flaccid compliance of the GOP senate.  The GOP should at least be trying to slap them down for how blatant their corruption is, and to at least try to be a little circumspect.  If this family was a true mob family, they would have all been dead or sent up river before their first round of protection payments.  These are not smart people.

Take it from someone who's grandfather was pinched before his first round of protection payments was finished, you have to have a certain degree of intelligence to be a successful criminal.

Thomas recently worked as a strategist and fundraiser for Republican Don Sedgwick, who sought to run against Rep. Katie Porter (D-Calif.) but lost in the March primary.

The two Republican consultants incorporated their firm in Delaware on March 23 and a week later received the contract from Maryland."

Maryland has been trying like hell to get necessary supplies, including from the feds. My guess is they knew these 2 were connected to the Adminstration and might be able to pull some strings on their behalf.  Oops.

MD won't overlook the loss, though.

Bush Jr. made the constituents of the different consumer protection agencies. the industries themselves.  They were openly supposed to serve the companies, not the population.  There's a lot of journalism that covers that.

Obama came in and put in some regulation (to the screeching of all the corporates) but nothing like it was in previous decades.

Trump cam in, moved us back to Bush Jr. and added open grifting, bribery, and to the entire mix.

To say things are regulated right now is to be into extreme polyandry.
