We're wiping out the oceans, the insects, the rain forests, and heating up the atmosphere.

The problem will be corrected by 2100, that's for certain.

The collapse of the global economy, and the war and famine that follow, should buy us some time on climate change.

GEE do you think?  Hyuk.

Human beings are under the illusion, for the most part, that we are somehow separate from everything else.  We ignore that our very existence is thanks to the oceans, now nearly empty and polluted to hell.  And thanks to the air we breathe, now polluted and regulations rolled back by insane people.  The balance of plant life on the earth, now bulldozed for short term profit to idiots.

Had the psychedelic revolution of 50 years ago not been quashed by ignorant, vile sociopaths, we might have stood a chance- woken the world more quickly as was necessary.

But if at this critical stage we have opted to be "ruled" by ignorant, vile sociopaths, I foresee nothing but disaster.

"In light of the COVID-19 pandemic, we are currently seeing governments making rapid (health) decisions based on fairly sophisticated data analysis," Dr. Runting said. "There may be opportunities to learn from this and achieve a similarly tight coupling of analysis and decision-making in the environmental sector."

Sophisticated? What is the R0

There wasn't much substance in that article.

The data analysis thus far has been off by magnitudes, honestly there has been public policy decisions based on the imperial college model that was way off.

Knowing those same sociopaths, it is very unlikely that they didn't rig the game and we only had the illusion of 'opting' for them. Politics don't get real until the pitchforks come out.
