I don't think anyone in the US needs that advice.
We've been starving out other countries ever since we got big.

Over 42% adult 'Muricans obesity rate 2017~2018. Almost 20% child obesity rate.x.html

1) People continue to stuff their faces with garbage, sit on our ever-increasing fat asses and watch Netflix, and complain about being sick all the time.

2) Playing the blame-game: "it's society's fault / food deserts / fat acceptance / diet culture / fat phobia". All complete bullshiat.

3) Others making stupid farking jokes about being obese, thereby normalizing it. fark your "freshman 15" or your "quarantine 15". What is stopping you from getting off your ass and going for a walk? Or if you are chair-bound, why not move your arms, back, torso?  There's a huge internet full of equipment-less home workout, yoga sessions, meditation, and so many many free things to guide you along. There's really no excuses.

You want free health care, but do nothing about taking care of your health.  This needs to change before anything like "free health care" would be truly viable. Another gigantic barrier is the prevalence of medical lawsuits (frivolous and legitimate); for doctors to be insured against lawsuits, the "industry" offloads the cost of doctor's (and hospital's) insurance to the patients.

Sure, I'll take some of that free health care, and I wouldn't mind some of my income going to pay for it. Though, my requirements for agreeing to it are mandatory weight monitoring, minimum daily exercise requirements, true mental health care (not just "take a number -> get a pill"), minimum education requirements about what food to by, how to prepare it. If someone has a pre-existing condition (like PCOS) or require a medication which causes weight retention, then they have access to additional help and resources to support that situation.

I truly think that it can be done, but people won't farking agree to it because "socializms" or some bullshiat. It will take a gigantic amount of effort and time on both sides to make it happen.

Gas is cheap, farms are in driving distance, and I have money.
