Not only did he surpass Kobe in scoring, as far as we know all of his scoring was consensual

A lot of MJ stories are trickling out now. My favourite is Bobby Knight (who couched him in the 84 Olympics) was asked by Seattle who they should take. He said Jordan. They said they had Clyde already so they wanted a center. Bobby said draft Jordan and play him at center.

That's why he still gets better ratings.

I missed my sisters graduation to watch Jordan in the finals on a Sony Watchman in 96.  Staticy as hell and like 10p, ut totally worth it.

comparing ratings at a time when there's absolutely no other sports available makes an awful lot of sense somehow

Born in 88, I remember even before being into basketball I would run into the room when my dad watched Bulls games to see the CGI bull running through downtown to the United Center on the pregame. The air Jordans, the 23 jerseys... they were a pop culture thing more than a sports fan thing in that era.

Depends on your age. The youngins loved the show. The old heads knew they were watching something amazing. Michael would always do something every game thst would just make you say "how"?

Heck, i had that game... but it was for PC.... before Windows even existed.
The computer brand was called Leading Edge.   The games were on those big big floppies, the graphics, little more than sprites.
