Yep, Florida's UI system working as designed.

Asa Phelps: Yep, Florida's UI system working as designed.

That's right, DeSantis is a tool but Rick Scott started this. He intentionally made it difficult to get unemployment to make the numbers look good.

"Re-employment assistance", submitter.  It is called "re-employment assistance".  The purpose is to provide you money so that you can become RE-EMPLOYED.

The old GOP "government can't do anything right" trick.  Quite the self-fulfilling prophecy they've constructed.

Diogenes: The old GOP "government can't do anything right" trick.  Quite the self-fulfilling prophecy they've constructed.

Intentionally constructed. The GOP mantra is go, "The government doesn't work, so give the wealthy tax cuts." and nothing else.

The site notes that state residents may have submitted an application through multiple methods, and the total number of claims could include "duplicate or triplicate claim counts."

May and could. Typical weasel words.

You had four Republican governors in a row. What did you expect to happen?

And yet another layer of the onion is peeled back to reveal more truth:

America is a rich 3rd world country with a 1st world 1% and military.

Suck it peons. You didn't think all this prosperity was for you did you?

He's probably stalling while getting guidance from Governor Kemp on how to open businesses by this weekend so he doesn't need to figure out how to pay out the remaining unemployment claims.

No excuse for him not fixing it before now though! I hope this costs him the next election.

It's hard to believe that the GOPs stranglehold on Florida comes from out-of-state bitter old racists who retire to Florida so their collective bile can keep electing crooks and lunatics.  Working Floridians don't stand a chance, especially those that aren't working.

Oh, please. DeSantis couldn't give fewer shiats.

You forgot a step.

GOP Gubmmint plan:

1. Break government
2. Say government doesn't work
3. Tax cuts for the wealthy and corporations
4. Profit?

Arizona's having the same issues.  The CARES act was passed 4 weeks ago and the best anyone can get out of DES for people who qualify for UI under the new system is "We don't know when we'll have it running, call back next week."

Michigan is also having severe issues. They tell you to call, but it's a constant busy signal. Online chats are never answered, messages are ignored. None of these states were prepared. So while I don't mind attacking Florida's governor for being an idiot, this isn't exclusively a Florida - or GOP governor - issue.

Republicans, farking over the little guy since the 1960s!

Well, all I can say is this is what you get for letting your neighbors vote for the person that was in charge of the the largest government money theft in modern history.

But hey, no one ever said Republicans are smart.
