There's got to be some White House reporter who's ready to hang up the straight gig and switch to commentary, or writing books, or something, who's willing to just stand up when he says shiat like that and say, "What the fark are you talking about, you farking moron?  You are an international figure of fun, a worldwide laughingstock, a grifting shiatheel, and your negligence, greed, and stupidity are killing people. fark yourself, you chubby biatch, and take those chinless kids of yours with you."  And then walk out (or be dragged out by security, I guess).

"At one point, [Trump] started to attack the press," [Leslie] Stahl said. "There were no cameras in there."

"I said, 'You know, this is getting tired. Why are you doing it over and over? It's boring and it's time to end that. You know, you've won ... why do you keep hammering at this?'" Stahl recalled.

"And he said: 'You know why I do it? I do it to discredit you all and demean you all so that when you write negative stories about me no one will believe you.'"

I really wish they'd rally together and choose two or three questions that absolutely have to get an answer, and when reporter #1 gets shot down, reporter #2 picks it up, and so on until they get an answer or until he tries to start a fistfight. After the important ones are asked, they can go back to each of their pet questions, but ask those agreed upon ones first, no matter what.

Trump has no shame, so since his supporters are likely to believe the lies about the mainstream media, he's turning his biggest failure as president into a battle with the media, knowing his supporters will eat it up. This is the result of the decades long conservative war on the media. Trump don't care why though, he just knows what to say to manipulate people. It's the same reasoning spammers use when they send emails filled with typos, they know people smart enough to realize that this email is garbage are also too smart to fall for the scam. Trump don't care about anything but his ego. This is why he's such a juicy target for foreigner dictators to take advantage of.

I always thought that if America fell for a dictator, he'd be a genius. That's not how it is happening though and it makes it even worse. Money has corrupted America completely and totally. The stupid are stupidly empowered.

That's the thing. Trump says he's not being treated fairly by the press. He's right, but not in the way he thinks. The press is going way too easy on him, treating him with kid gloves and not holding him to account.

See i don't think that this is a case of "but not in the way he thinks." He's a grifter, a stupid one, but he knows grifting and he knows he's lying. Don't take away his agency.

Now his supporters, they absolutely don't know. They legitimately think the media is being unfair. He knows they feel that way and plays that cynically to his personal advantage.
