Dead for Tax Reasons: none of it will ever make it through congress, so why wouldn't he agree

Because within a week of Bernie becoming the consensus front runner, the Democratic electorate coalesced with lightning speed behind Biden because 1) many did not want a socialist, and 2) many others thought America would not elect a socialist.

I voted for Bernie here in Utah. And I really like AOC. But now is not the time for the loser to demand concessions. Behind the scenes, sure. Go ahead and push the candidate in any direction you want. But out loud? It's time for Blue No Matter Who. And that Who, like it or not, is Biden.

So why not agree? Because it would be terrible politics.

If we are offered nothing from Biden or Trump , why should we vote for either?
A vote for Biden is 12 years of Progressive Democrats while a vote for the Green party is a vote for our conscience and a chance of a progressive in 4 years.
If you want our vote, giving us nothing isn't an option.

More like expanding the Affordable Care Act, better unemployment insurance and higher taxes on the .1%, you know, all the things that Biden doesn't want to do since he's a Third Way/Blue Dog/Corporate Democrat.

/Yes, I will vote for Biden (or any Democrat candidate that runs against Trump in November) even if my vote doesn't mean a damn thing since I'm in California and not in a swing state.

I think it a great time. The old system is crashing and burning and the pandemic is shining a light on the rot that few politicians ever attempt to address.

Start building a nation that truly is a democracy. Politically and economically.

Bernie was never the consensus candidate. Iowa and New Hampshire select the wrong candidate about half the time. The first two states are a wash.

Why, it's almost as if "Better Things Aren't Possible" is a gross misrepresentation of mainstream Democratic thought that the vast majority of voters don't buy into!

Aren't those all things Biden has said he's either all for or open to?  I know he wants to expand the ACA, I vaguely recall better UI in a platform statement, and I can't imagine 1% tax hikes are off the table.

Right.
But this pandemic will continue to show how bad this nation has become in the last few decades.

How far do you think demonizing voters in Pa. that want jobs, health insurance and a wage above $12:50 an hour will get you?
You and your privilege have no idea what it is like for someone in Pa. to live off $10-$12 an hour and $400-$800 a month for insurance plus the deductable.
Ignore it at your own peril.
Keep pushing Koch funded ideas like free trade and high taxes for the poor while no taxes on Wall Street.
In Pa. you will be screwed.

To Bernie Bros: We get that.  The nation has been swinging to the right for 4 decades at least.  It's going to take time to swing back the other way.  The way we get there, is for us all to show up, together, every election.  Elect a pragmatic left-center President like Biden, elect progressive Congresscritters, elect progressive Senators, elect progressive state reps, state senators, mayors, judges, DA's, and we'll all get there.  Step 1 has to be to stop the bleeding before we change our entire lifestyle.  But we will change that lifestyle, if we all remember to always show up, together.

Never said he was a good leader. But shaitting on progressive ideals is what got us Trump in the first place. Hillary just said she would be "Obama continued" when we needed more than that. Trump then told complete morons who don't research things that he would get their jobs back and/or wages increased. Guess who won the election, the fake populist. We need a real progressive/populist to counter Trump's bullshait; buuuuttttt since we're stuck with Biden, we need him to start telling progressives, centrists and Republicans that he will get their jobs back for real and present progressive policies and platforms that will do that, not just be "Not Trump".

Sanders and Biden said they are forming task forces on health care, education, the economy, climate change, criminal justice and immigration - a sign of Biden's continued outreach to the progressive wing of the party.

To Biden Bros: You don't seem to get that. Because each policy position the Democratic "centrists" promote seem to be coddling the Republican base and you follow them each time they go more rightward. It does.  It may not listen to you, if you only show up sporadically, but it does listen to voters who do show up.  And if those voters are always slightly right because the left won't show up, then that's who the party listens to.
