So, how long before Donnie's handlers martial the Unterderbrückebewohner community to combat these Fake Tweets?

He is definitely going to fire Fauci.  Maybe this week, maybe next, maybe further down the line, but he is going to fire him.  And nothing will happen to hold him accountable.  Yes, all the ITGs will come out of the woodwork, talking about armed resistance.  One day.  Soon.  They are ready for when the moment comes.

It will never come.  That's not how the US works.  That's not how any of it works.

We will be like Germany in the 1930s - in crisis, looking to a leader who we elected, allowing laws to be changed to grant him more and more power, until we're living in a totalitarian state with Donals f*cking Trump at the top.  Then we will become a straight-up corporate plutocracy/kleptocracy.  Then, if things get really dire, we will go to war.  Then we will lose our asses to China, and then we will spend the next several generations trying to rebuild - because unlike the US, China will never turn around at the end of the war and help rebuild us.  Nobody will.

No, Americans are too complacent to mount an armed resistance against our government.  If we weren't, the Great Depression would have been the Second Civil War by the end of it.

Just like he did with the IG, he likes to wait until everyone has stopped paying attention, and then he'll fire him.

I'm terribly sorry you feel that way, and that the past few years seem to have been hard on you, like it has for all of us, and maybe in a way I can sympathize.

Either way, if it's okay with you, let's not tell others to give up on trying to save the system, okay?  This whole storyline of "oh the rich people control everything and they throw money around and there's nothing we can do about it" is overplayed, as is the "America is so lazy and all them GOP-MAGA peoples are never going to give the country back".  Just repeating the same downer dirge so many times doesn't make it true.

I'm not saying you need to change your view.  I'm just saying perhaps you need to perhaps spend less time overanalyzing news to the point you start doing Orwell impressions.  Posting depressing things like this isn't healthy.  Go on YouTube and watch some Are You Being Served episodes.

My point is, there are many people who do nothing but sit on their asses and post ammosexual fantasies of what great feats they will do when the rising happens... when that isn't how it works.

What works is getting out to vote, even if it's for someone other than your first choice, to get Trump out of office.  Campaign for Biden (I will, even though I wanted Warren).  Do everything you can to defeat the totalitarian regime the Republicans are trying to create.  Yes, even voting in elections other than the Presidential.  Join your local Party and have a say what is in the platform.

It's going to take actual voting and actual campaigning to make it better.  Get involved.

To be fair, I don't know if Twitter's algorithms are showing me the tweets from like-minded people whenever I click on these trending topics... But I do find it somewhat reassuring that there seems to be a lot of vitriol directed towards Trump, and most of the people that are unironically using the tags are obvious bots.

The schooling that Putin gifted Trump is not just the deterioration and rotting of America, but a careful and considered re-enactment of the chaos leading up to the various revolutions in Russia in the 1910s.

Who the hell starts a civil war/revolution when the country is already in a world war?  Russia.

Who takes advantage of the destruction of the civil war, and the loose and vulnerable new government?  Bolsheviks.

What is the end result?  A people willing to live under endless shortages and moral outrages in a dictatorship that devolves into oligarchy.

Next up.  China's turn is coming in about 100 years.  It's kind of an initiation game for the big countries.

He can't conceive of himself not being the smartest person in the world. He just can't. He is incapable of thinking that things that are not him are real things, or even people for that matter. In his mind the entire universe is his and he has no place in it for anyone else.

We have to get him away from power.

I get where you are coming from and where you are going, but FDR instituted the greatest social alteration via legislation and executitve authority since emancipation.  The GD was caused by private instititions - along with a complicit government, granted - but the resulting exapnsion of federal scope is the opposite of what is happening today.  Trump's current attempt to mimic Roosevelt style populism is ham fisted and unsupported by his base.  If he can pull it off and bring the Republicans a full 180 of karmic politics, huzzah.  Hu-farkin-zah.  But I would still argue that the environment of this crash is very different from 1928.   Because I have nothing better to do with my time that argue meaningless semantics on points of historical reference and their political ramifications.  Goddam this quarantine.

Love you.  ....: )

... the Great Depression that began with a bunch of rich people committing suicide (many of whom were likely murdered) and ended with the government telling the wealthy to largely go fark themselves, seizing loads of assets, nationalizing a bunch of shiat, building a then-unprecedented social safety net that to this day is the go-to rhetorical reference for sweeping social reforms, and getting us involved in a bunch of literal shooting wars (as a supplier of arms, initially) in a desperate bid to have the government basically artificially give jobs directly to Americans?

The Great Depression that finally calmed the labor movement down by the end because the union organizers had run out of things on their check-list of stretch goals to rally people behind?

That the Great Depression you're talking about?

I just want to make it clear to calibrate my Poe's Law meter on whether you know what irony is or whether you somehow executed it perfectly by accident.
