Looks like it works by making it mutate super rapidly. I need some smart science person to tell me why that's not scary first before I can relax.

Drugs with names like EIDD-2801 cost an unbelievable amount of money and maybe even can't be produced in high volumes.  So Trump will be touting it by the end of the day as a miracle.

It appears scientists have used it to torture e.Coli.  Because we hate e.Coli.

Even if this experimental drug was a cure.

The Average American couldn't afford it and their Insurance Companies would just laugh as they use the Denied Stamp.
Then make sure they still get paid for your next months premiums as you lay 6ft under.

Or the drug will just Magically Go Away as they "find" a less potent but require multiple very expensive injections to handle the virus.

If it works, lets hope it can be replicated with stockpiled components.  The patent can be thrown out the window in favor of generic distribution.  The patent can be re-instated after the emergency is over, and they can make their money then.  I mean ... if we want to be seen as global saviors instead of arseholes that  need to be lynched.

lets see which one happens...

Scientists and doctors: It's often handy to keep notes as you go along, and remember where you put them.  Dedicate a place to put them, and make a habit of keeping them there.

I bet someone was shouting this to the rooftops for weeks in February, trying to get samples so they could test their 'baby,' drug and kill the monster.  If it works, its bragging rights forever for Elizabeth Holmes (or whoever designed it).

Hopefully it's not Pharma Bro or Holmes.

"EIDD-2801 holds promise to not only treat COVID-19 patients today, but to treat new coronaviruses that may emerge in the future."

I found some footage of it destroying the virus

They don't mention any side effects. They also mention it's a new drug.

I want to make sure that it's one that won't make me sick - one that won't make me crash my car, or make me feel three feet thick.
