It's no shock to me at this point about how much worse this CBA keeps getting. The sad thing is, it's starting to come off as the last gasp of a dying business, as if they really refuse to let reality play into things.

It's a real shame the players don't have some sort of association that they could collectively bargain with. I mean if they had something like that, this so called association of players could negotiate with the NFL and require like a vote of the members to approve any kind of deal like this new agreement.

Because if they had something like that, this player's association or whatever, they could have really fought to keep the disability benefits that are the subject of this whine fest of an article. Or you know, maybe they would have bargained it away in exchange for less practice or not testing for pot. But if they did that we couldn't really blame the NFL, so I'm glad nothing like that exists and we can continue ignorantly blaming the NFL for what the players agreed to.

Their new management threw a fit because their writers wouldn't stick to sports, and now it's back and they're sticking even less to sports.  I don't get it.

Apparently (someone fact check me on this cause it's been a while) Deadspin far and away got the lionshare of traffic out of all the sites and came to the conclusion that killing it was, in fact, a bad idea.

So now they have the worst of all worlds. A scab site with no community, commenting still turned off, and a management that looks dumber than ever for being back where they started when they bought the place editorial-wise except everyone hates it.

They accomplished their primary objective of shutting down one of the few mainstream sites that unapologetically shat on billionaires for being out-of-touch morons.
