Small business guy here.  I was the only one that was telecommuting, and only part time at that, until we got the stay at home order.  We scrambled a quick discussion on what to use that wasn't mishmashing on our phones to communicate to each other. You can all point laugh.  Since we really don't need face to face video, but sometimes screen sharing or audio helps, we've been using Discord.

... On Zoom, which got hacked, and led to him being called racial slurs the entire time.

If you're using Zoom, what the fark is wrong with you???

It's something a clueless school board would recommend using.

Ugh. I just scheduled 66 zoom meetings (teacher here). We're so busy putting everything online that we just don't have a lot of time to learn this stuff. If I see one giant schlong, I'm flunking the little bastid!

Funny you should say that since the elementary schools around my area are using Zoom 3-4 times a week to have video chats with the kids. I am tired of hearing blaring rap music in the background followed by the teacher yelling, "who's playing that music!! I can hear the curse words in it. You better turn that off now!!" Then hear kids laugh and finally get back to the 30-45 minute lesson. And no, my kids aren't the ones playing music during the call.

I don't fault the teachers. They are just doing what they could do with such a short notice.

My younger 2 kids also get weekly counseling from Volunteers Of America but now the sessions are over Zoom instead of at the house.

If you aren't using Skype, WebEx or something that is backed by a major tech company with decades of compliance experience you are basically doing your online meetings not just in the open, but literally on the desks of every bad actor from script kitty to APT.

We are a medical software company that deals with patient records and use GoToMeeting.  That is probably be a good one since we have to comply with HIPAA and we use it.  Of course we still mask the patient's identification in our presentations.

Teams is the corporate replacement for Skype, office 365 ecosystem and all that.  You can allow outside domains/connections and do some moderation, but there are limitations.

Better than zoom.. a little

Teachers in France have been known to use Discord and Twitch.

Yes, everyone should be rushing to take security advice from someone who thinks "script kiddie" is actually "script kitty".

Bullsh*t. Stop lying, you liar.

You heard the term once or twice and decided to try to use it, and you f*cked it up thoroughly.
