If they're calling him out it's only because they're out of office.

oh look a facile, easy knee-jerk comparison. pick that low-hanging fruit.

let's play a game. you pick a despicable, reprehensible alternet article, and i'll match you with a breitbart one.

Eh. At least he was among those who tried to run against trump in 2016, and by my awareness, he didn't become a ill blown water carrying toadie afterward, TED CRUZ.

Kasich is awful and he's probably sad he's not the one farking up the response to this national disaster. He's a terrible person.

I'm glad he had a concise, clear cut plan on how to tackle this problem.

I've yet to see a modern GOP leader who isn't a coward.

Kasich was clearly supporting him earlier in this crisis, when it was clearly going south.

He was on CNN defending Trump's COVID-19 response a few weeks back. I couldn't tell you the date, it all blends together now. I usually don't lose track of time like that unless I'm working a case and I've been on duty for more than 24hrs.

Vector-In-Chief since his opening move was trotting out the airline industry's subsidy, or CORVID-1.

Britain's herd-immunity without vaccination was CLEAR agenda prior to Italy and when his shaman and foil came around, AFTER a game of what asymptomatic transmission means.

My doctor says I don't have any symptoms.

Fair enough. We need all the help we can get.

I just remember that in  2016 I was thinking "Which one of these Republicans am I going to have to hold my nose for and support?"

John Kasich was my first choice, but I would have voted for ANYONE except Trump.

Yeah, that's pretty crazy.  Would I have really voted for Ted Cruz?  That's a hypothetical question. which makes me very uncomfortable.

I was a "Never HIllary" voter until Republicans nominated Donald Trump

/Kasich's daughters probably aren't going to sleep with you...probably, So you still have a chance!

Ohio resident here. The thing is, if Kasich was governor, Ohio's response would be no different than most other republican governor state. John Kasich never made a decision that could potentially harm his chances at the next elected office.

Gov DeWine is doing a great job and I didn't vote for him. He's doing well for two reasons.
1. He is trusting his experts. Especially Ohio Dept of Health director Dr Amy Acton. She must have scare him something fierce early on as Ohio was one of the first states to shut things down.
2. DeWine does not have future political asperations. He's been a US Senator and I think Governor is his final political stop. So he is making decisions with the best interest of Ohioans in mind. That was something Kasich never did.

Ohio guy here too...

I have said for years that Kasich is pretty much the "aw, shucks, I'm just a simple country boy," version of Trump.

I never thought I would be happy with Dewine, but here we are.

And the fact of the matter is, if I were president, I would have the Bezoses and the Walmart executives - I would set them free...

Read that sentence before assuming Kasich is interested at all in actually helping you. He'd only do it because helping the peasants in this case would help his buddies on the top more in the long run.

Accepting Obamacare and expanding Medicare for his state seemed to be a problem in his Presidential bid.

Good point on the expanding Medicare. Forgot about that one but while that hurt him in the Republican primary, not accepting it would have hurt him in the general election for president.
