Eh, I grabbed a couple industrial sewing machines on the cheap and plan on teaching the ins and outs of manufacturing. Just waiting on the leg irons and shock collars.

One is active duty, the other works at a supermarket. Don't see much of either one lately.

They're bored? Good. Let them figure out how to entertain themselves. It will help them later in life.

Pretty much. If they're very young, you need to give them options and maybe a schedule.

But any kid that's over 9 or 10 years old can probably figure out how to entertain themselves. Boredom is a HUGE problem in life, and lots of people aren't good at dealing with it. And "dealing with it" doesn't always mean staying "busy". Sometimes it can mean just being bored, and accepting it.

All the local parks and playgrounds were closed down about 2 weeks ago, which just accelerated the ordering and setup of a swingset for the yard.

The pad site is almost ready and the set gets delivered Saturday.  After too many days of cold rain we're all getting a bit stir-crazy.  I'm looking forward to assembling the thing and the kids will enjoy playing on it, even if just for the first 10 minutes before they get bored.

Make sure you use a few yards of 1" clear crushed stone and not that wussie pea gravel crap they put in play areas these days.

I secretly roll on the random encounter tables in Appendix C of the 1ed DM's guide for monsters to do impressions of, unexpectedly, to scare the kids and entertain the wife.

Re: that latter audience... Still waiting to roll Satyr.
