Seems like a fine time to try and remind companies that workers are sometimes essential to their business.

I still cannot fathom how companies like instacart exist.

Did we all just lose our collective ability to buy our own damn food?

Dear Instacart strikers, you are replaceable, signed 3 million newly unemployed Americans.

Instacart is a REALLY shiatty company, and it shows. There's so much competition in that field now, they don't have a chance. Shouldn't have tried stealing tips from its employees.

I spent 22 minutes getting a popeye's chicken sandwich last night. It was fantastic.

Guy in front on me was picking up 4 orders. They got one, as in they couldn't even see what the other 3 orders were. So he spent 22 minutes for one order. I think they handed him 2, must have come in while we were waiting. 11 minutes per. Life sucks for these people right now. Not every time, this may not be normal, but it happens.

The first 5 cars went real fast otherwise I wouldn't have waited. Then we hit the struggle bus. An employee walked in front of my car, took her break, and walked back in in front of my car.

You're probably off by a factor of 10. I want them to succeed, but I don't see how, given the huge glut of labor.
/don't use grocery delivery

Instacart totally screwed up my order (what wasn't lost or damaged was expired). Waited on hold with them for over seven hours of their crackly Muzak only to have the connection drop.

Tried to contact them via email, their own message system, and even via Twitter DM. Never got a response.

Contacted my credit card vendor and filed a dispute. Got the lesser charge refunded (under $50) and waiting to see if I'll see the rest back (more than $50).

Some people just don't have the time or they are homebound elderly/disabled and can't get to the store.

What's the alternative to Instacart? Doordash/Grubhub are for fast food pickup. Instacart is for groceries.

/I have heard of Shipt, but never tried it before so I can't comment on it.

Instacart and Shipt do not have access to the current, real-time inventories managed by the logistics departments (or companies) for those stores.
WTF???
How can you not use current inventory info when taking an order?
Useless shiites.

Those problems existed before insta cart. I'd reckon 90% of users of insta cart didn't actually need this service before hand

Most who whine about "not enough time" to get groceries (lol cut into your social media time) go out to eat most the time anyway.
