Yeah, there you go. Pray that sh*t away. You f*cking idiots.

That dude is too dumb to be a sith.  He is only empowered because he is surrounded by like minded idiots.

Prayer is like gambling, you never talk about your loses.

IIRC every major religion had thousands of cultists...I mean followers...pray to stop the virus.

so far nothing has happened.

do prayers float to heaven like balloons?  and since we haven't pierced the firmament yet even with our voyager spacecraft, it might take a LOOOOONG time.

/mysterious ways, etc.

And the best way to do it is by going to the infectious disease ward at the hospital. In groups of 50 or more.

Gov. Stitt and faith leaders come together in prayer to combat coronavirus

That's a do-nothing strategy, Cotton. Let's see how many of the flock they kill.

Don't anyone criticise wishing these people get it and die, because they are actually causing people to die.

It's like a shell game run by a slight of hand master. No matter the outcome, they can spin it so they look good(to dipshiats and criminals).

When medical science develops a vaccine or cure - they'll claim Gaaaawwwad did it.
When it burns through everyone's grandparents, parents uncles, and etc, they'll claim Gaaaawwwad is done punishing us for the evils of liberalism like treating people like human beings and spared the pure believers - them
And in all cases, the grift will keep on grifting.

try praying the stupidity away next time

To paraphrase Pete Townshend who said to a very inebriated Keith Moon, "Pray faster you c*nt!"

JESUS F#CK. It's a virus. It doesn't care about your faith or your personal resolve or your jingoistic bullshiat! It's not even technically alive. Its sole purpose is to infect and replicate, and it does it really f#cking well.

Remember, these people aren't praying for the virus to go away. They're praying to keep themselves safe. Most Evangelical nutjobs see the virus as a sign of the end times and are praying that it purges the sinners.

If there was a God, these idiots would be the kids in the back seat of his car waiting for the rapture and constantly yelling 'ARE WE THERE YET?!'.

Good, good, they're doing what comes naturally for them, moving toward self rapturing.

The virus is a reckoning of sorts, just not on the people they're hoping.

Must be my fault for not praying. It's funny how one heathen can nullify thousands (likely tens of thousands around here) of prayers. Like shaming is baked into the whole thing.

Oh well. I'll just continue to stay home and not spread it. I know the governor doesn't approve, but it just might work.

Rattlehead: "What's the least we can do to combat the coronavirus?"

That's always been the case for thoughts and prayers. Just that in this case, they're doing it as people are still dying and other better options are available.

Prayers are for people who could help but don't want to. In this case it's his JOB to help out, and this is his watered down non-response.

I'm all for this. They should all hold up in church for a month. Have food delivered.

That is the only way to make sure they can pray the virus away. Don't come out no matter what. That would show a lack of faith.

You think Republicans follow rules? You underestimate the power of the Dark Side.

I don't know what's worse. The fact that they think they can pray this away or the fact that someone considered this newsworthy.

I live in OK.  I chose to simply ignore that nonsense.

If a god exists and if he/she chooses to help humanity bases solely on the total number of "likes" he/she gets, we're f'ed and there's really no point.

By all means, proceed.

/getting a lot of mileage out that lately

We know prayer works, just look at Europe during the plague. Cleared that shiat right up.

So many grifters/charlatans to squeeze into a one hour vid.

2020-03-27 12:17:01 PM
I don't give a fark if people pray, people do all sorts of worthless shiat during a crisis. What bugged is it was televised, but it's easy enough now to find something that ISN'T Stone Age bullshiat on TV, so (shrug)

I don't know what the ratings were, but they couldn't have been great. Not even in Oklahoma.

Most of us aren't nearly as Jesusy as you assume. Even most of the ones who claim to be religious really aren't.

They're just farking lazy and don't vote, most of the time, leaving that much more opportunity to the Jesusy idiots, who DO vote.
