I shudder to think what sort of vile profanity, time-wasting nonsense and absurd wankery would come out of putting a million internet randoms in front of Biden.

I would also expect some of the voters would probably be ill-behaved as well.

He can do the streams on twitch or something in the meantime the democratic leadership are farking the response to trumps bullshiat. The media loves a comeback story and will boost trumps reaction like this was his 9/11. Biden needs to hammer his ass daily and reassure Americans who are farked right now that he's going to fix this shiat if elected.

Id like to ask him abt the speech he recently gave to a wall street gathering where he said that under him theyd have no worries and it would be biddness as usual.

Just like a republican would.
Or a moderate democrat.

When your entire campaign message is just "I'm a Democrat who isn't Donald Trump; I can beat Donald Trump" and not what policies you advocate, you're actually relying on Donald Trump. Making Donald Trump central to your campaign is what Donald Trump wants.

Here's hoping Biden picks that up before too long, because God help Joe Biden and the Democratic Party if we get stuck with 4 years of Obama-era 'bipartisanship'

A virtual rope-line? How clueless is Joe's campaign staff? No matter how much you believe in your candidate, you never give them enough rope.

Ever listen to talk radio on the A.M. dial?

Same format.
Sure, some  absurd wankery gets through but the premise is you've the means to "dump" them if things go too far south.

I'm thinking, with some skill, it'd be possible to turn a few internet randos into an example of why Trumpism has to go.

Can't be much different than the earnest caller "East of the Rockies" that wants a host's take on what really happened the night the caller was out late at night and lost a few hours and it had to be an alien abduction, right?

Field a few calls from people who want to challenge "the dems" and let's see how Joe counters with facts - and hope it's not another invitation to a fist-fight-outside-you-and-me-pal.

Might work for Joe, might not.

People who dial in to broadcast their message of profanity and nonsense can be made to look profane and nonsensical. Or, you know, oops, we've got static on the line, sorry, caller, next - We've got Keith from......

Biden's campaign is playing Vice President to Trump. FTA:

"It's very tricky. When you're in a crisis, there can only be one president. Just attacking him every day is a bad strategy," said Lockhart, anticipating the Trump campaign's response leveled Friday at Biden.

This is a horrible strategy. He's disappeared from the earth. He needs to be out in front, offering an alternative.

Anyway, in the meantime, I can't wait for Joe to make his case one-on-one with YOLO_SWAGGINS_420.

Using a crisis to score political points would be a terrible idea. It's not going to help anyone or attract anyone to crow about how much better you theoretically could be when people's lives are in danger.

That is in fact exactly what a crisis should be used for.  Because it's a crisis, particularly one that clearly lays out the problem with the system we've developed.

There are some good things in his platform, but there's also this:

Increase military spending, no universal healthcare, keep cannabis illegal at the federal level, continue forever wars, keep corperate taxes below 2017 levels.

But maybe that's the best the US deserves, as more people voted for him than Bernie. It's a bandaid on a gaping wound, but maybe kicking the can down the road will be enough if people can just hold things together long enough until the boomers die off.

A, at least 3 of those are not true, B, the fact is, most Americans just feel like Joe Biden is in a better position to generate progress towards policy goals than Bernie, and they're right.

Any one who tells you universal healthcare was on the presidential ballot in 2016 or 2020 is not someone who is genuinely interest in expanding healthcare; it's someone who is using healthcare as a weapon against historically disenfranchised voters.

The fact is, more people will get healthcare as a result of Joe Biden's proposal to protect and expand the ACA than from Bernie's proposal of asking Mitch McConnell reaaaaaally nicely to socialize the entire medical industry.

Good for him and his supporters.  I hope we all pull together to make this in retrospect not seem like a huge deal.

Unfortunately we are probably a few weeks/months past that possibility and silly political bickering is pointless.

Enraged pitchfork and torch wielding against those currently in power is still appropriate.

The Biden plan is to have a public option, like Medicare, on the ACA exchanges doesn't require a law change or McConnell.

Which of those are untrue? I took the time to look up his platform and that's what It says. Also, if you don't think medicare was on the table you don't think anything is on the table. Nothing progressive happens period as long as Mitch and Republicans control the senate, and that doesn't change regardless of who is president.

Move people into the public plan, then open it up for everyone, and not tie it to employers/employment anymore.

It will be insufficient. Private insurance will be prioritized. Doctors who take national insurance will be scarce or incompetent. And the rich will get better health care than the poor.

I've been on both sides of the exchange.

You can't do "a public option" anymore. Biden himself projects his plan still leaves millions uninsured.
