Because Jim Clyburn likes her a lot, and Biden owes Clyburn whatever he wants.

Can't wait for the racism to kick in if that happens.

Don't do it, Joe. She's incredibly smart and would be a great choice...if Americans weren't hung up on race, looks, and sexism. But they are. They've shown this time and time again. As the old saying goes: "When people show you who they really are...believe them."

Don't do it, Stacey. You have a bright political future ahead of you (and we all know you got cheated in Georgia) but America isn't ready for you, not yet anyway. And it sucks to have to say that but it's true. Keep working on fighting voter disenfranchisement. Then take another run at high office (governor, senator) and win it. Carry out a successful term. Then I think it'll be your time. The advice of our elders and ancestors still holds true: Black folks have to be twice as good just to be considered equal.

*Since I know I'm going to get funny votes from the Edgelords, I'll leave you with a dad joke:

Did you hear about the scarecrow who won a Nobel Prize...? He was out standing in his field.

She would be my choice. And those who say we as Americans aren't "ready to have a black woman" as Veep have apparently already forgotten that we elected a mixed race man president (twice) and gave the popular vote to a woman by 3 million votes.

I was told in 2008 by all the rednecks I worked with that America would never vote to make a n****r president.

Yet, he was and did a very good job.

We've already elected a black President.  Twice.  Not sure how hung up on race that makes us in terms of electability.  And are people so sexist that won't even consider a woman for VP? Of course not.  HRC got more votes than Trump and she wasn't in the #2 slot, was she?  Your arguments don't make any sense to me.

I still say Harris. Yes, Abrams lost almost completely due to voter suppression, but the "she couldn't win statewide election" tag is still on her.

That said, she would be in the cabinet

Castro dropped out early and quickly endorsed Warren. In Bexar Co., where San Antonio is and where Castro was mayor, Warren finished a distant fourth in the Texas primary. Castro is no help to anyone.

It's hard to respect Harris sucking up to Biden after she laid into him at the debates.

Didn't say she'd be a fool to accept it. I said that America is not ready to accept her yet. But a successful run as governor or a successful senate term would help mitigate the arguments against her. She needs more seasoning, and Americans need more reasoning.
