Isn't that what the guy who recently went on Joe Rogan said? Something about some dude eating an ant-eater type animal that allowed the virus to cross over to people. But sure, American soldiers existing is probably to blame, I guess.

Because there are a lot of people over there and they partake in a lot of ignorant, superstitious shiat.

It should be noted that most of the Influenza strains that travel all over the World each year originate in China.

And this sounds really prophetic:

https://www.smithsonianmag.com/science-nature/china-ground-zero-future-pandemic-180965213/

It's a 2017 article about Bird Flu, but it lays out the case that China's unique set of circumstances means it's likely to be the source of the next pandemic.

And it was.

"It's not a big mystery why this is happening... lots of concentrated population, with intimate contact with lots of species of animals that are potential reservoirs, and they don't have great hygiene required. It's a recipe for spitting out these kinds of viruses,"

I guess that second item is why it doesn't happen with India?

Extra chicken stock and corn starch is never a bad idea. I like my flavor in every bite and extending it and reducing the salt concentration is perfect.

Apparently some workers in virus containment labs take animals to the market when they are finished testing them for infections. Just to make a buck

Then we need to contain the risk.  By nuking the facilities.  Fusion heat will kill the virus.

And the other majority of Indians are Muslims, and they got the Halal thing going. They're sticking to beef (when Hindus aren't looking), chicken, goat and lamb.

/prefer Northern Indian/Pakistani/SIkh restaurants to Southern Indian vegan stuff, because meat. And less spicy.

You can characterize about 10% of that as the actual unpreventable consequences of geography / nature and 90% of it as the predictable result of conscious decisions the Chinese government makes in pursuit of an entirely intentional agenda.

Though if you want to get more specific, next time someone asks you why we need to have the government fully support general education and keep creationism etc. out of our schools or any version of "is it really that important?" with respect to educational standards, you can pretty much just point them to TFA, because half of the Party's contribution to the repeated pandemics is precisely their suppression of general education and public access to basic information.  And the other half is cultural supremacy shiat where they intentionally declare "traditional Chinese" whatever superior even when it's blatantly false/inferior... so, again, basically the equivalent of if Christians were allowed to write the curricula in the USA.

// Man, this farking pandemic just ties all to farking political issues together and brings them to a head, doesn't it?  Can't wait for it to somehow come around to eminent domain and shiat.

I've been in a wet market in Hong Kong. The thing I saw there that cannot be unseen: two half eels sitting on a counter. The front halves, gasping. And on the top floor they have dai pai dong, a food court where nobody trusts the sanitation, so by tradition the first thing served is a jug of boiling water to clean your utensils etc. I would go back any time, such an interesting place.

Yup. The world should declare the chinese communist party responsible for this shiat and they need to pay the price.

COALITION OF THE VIRUS or something to overthrow the commies and kill every last one of em, then enforce health standards in china and ban all that chinese traditional medicine bullshiat.

It's really from bats, but to try to keep the pangolins from becoming extinct pangolins are being said to have caused it.

Yes, because being the reservoir of a fatal plague will prevent people from exterminating pangolins.

That's not how humanity works.
