But I like it that way

I prefer to think of it as antisocial propinquitying.

Some of us haven't seen that particular area in years.

For a variety of reasons.

Someone rocking back and forth holding their knees to their chest.

Knees are together, so it's not likely to be a photo of subby's mom.

Still amazes me that we need articles to help people cope with social distancing. I've been doing it by choice for years. Maybe when people realise how good it is this will become the new default.

It might surprise you to know that humans are generally pretty social animals.  I understand that many of us slow that down as we get older.  But we generally like interaction.

I'm not all that social myself.  I tend to stay in a lot.  But I still get major cabin fever if I don't get out of the house once or twice a day.  So I understand people that are WAY more social than me.  And I know why they are having a hard time coping.

A person trying to sound smart once told me that being anti-social isn't someone who doesn't like to be around people.  It's someone who people don't want to be around.

I'm not confused by the person in the picture. I'm confused by the swirly stuff around them. It's like they farted and it divided by zero. Or they are sitting in cotton candy nest.

It's a photograph of pants and ankles.  Next question?

If I get one of these to wear when I'm out and about will it keep people away?

I hate being locked indoors, but I live on acreage so I can go outside and not have to talk to anyone other than ponies. So my idea of cabin fever is what happens when you can't go outside but has nothing at all to do with interacting with people.

Social interaction is exhausting, a waste of time, and not fun. Talking to the cashier at the grocery store is as social as I get. If I was required had to pursue social interaction twice a day I'd recommend you just shoot me dead and get it over with. It would be living a nightmare.

I wanted that hat, too, but then I looked at the ad.  Too expensive and made from actual dead skunks.  Fake fur, $39.95 ftw.

As one who really enjoys solitude, I also understand that us introverts are not the only people on the planet. Not everybody will enjoy it nearly as much as you or I do. It'll drive them f*cking NUTS.

I get some people are extroverts and all that. However, introverts in this world consisting mostly of extroverts are required to cope with having to be around people, or have a nervous breakdown, whichever comes first (whynotboth.jpeg) without a new article to assist them appearing every five minutes.

And if this new way of living drives extroverts nuts they'll have to find their own meds, I need mine.

I grow my own meds. It helps immensely. Except this morning I woke up with a mild fever, sore throat and a cough, so no smoking pot today. Maybe tomorrow.
