Well it kind of is important information. A lot of people probably wouldn't know what a complete tool bag he is otherwise.

An important alternative is to unplug from social media and live a happier life.

What else is twitter used for??

2020-03-07 12:12:43 AM
The social media sites have an army of behaviorist PH.ds working for them.  They have done studies that show people respond much more to negative comments than positive ones.  In terms of keeping users engaged, the bigger cesspool the better.

Twitter is aware of this which is why they won't take steps to address online bullying that are actually effective.  They will merely take steps that make them look like they're doing something.

The toxic social media environment is a feature, not a bug.

If Trump really wanted to screw over Twitter he would pick some other platform to host his output. It would cause a lot of people to up stakes and head over there, both those who love him and those who hate him.

"Twitter has updated its hate speech policies to cover tweets that make dehumanizing remarks, which are remarks that treat "others as less than human," on the basis of age, disability, or disease."

This is sure to make some redhats very upset.

Watch some MAGAts try to report anyone who says that. They've been playing a sort of "Lets see how many people we can get banhammered today" sort of game lately.

So it's completely empowering to be fat, old, or sick.

They've really turned me around on this.

You have to wonder what the end-state of all this cultural sanitization will be.  Maybe they're just hoping genetic engineering will eventually swoop in and make everything uniform.

Seems to indicate they're just banning dehumanising speech targeted towards groups.

So making fun of an individual because if his weight appears to still be fair game.

Bad: "All fat people should die"
Good: "You should die, fatty"

Bad: "I hate old people."
Good: "I hate that old person.'

Maybe they're just getting rid of low hanging fruit in order to breed a new race of superhuman insult makers. Take out all the easy stuff and people will really have to think of the mean things they want to say and perfect their craft.

He would literally crap a brick if they banned him.
He's spent this whole period building up his followers by using his personal account and NOT the official POTUS account set up previously.
I will laugh if that happens.

Making fun of people over their height still perfectly acceptable on Twitter, and indeed throughout society. See also: Mike Bloomberg.
