It is almost as if the executive gets to decide who works in the executive branch.

Yes, they pick only the best people. It's fantastic and something we should just watch with abject horror and rage as President F*ckface destroys the country pick by f*cked up pick.

One thing to keep in mind during this is that nobody disputed their testimony.

Time to start the next impeachment hearings - on the emoluments and other financial corruption and nepotism, this time. Congress should split it's time 50/50 between passing useful bills to add to the pile under Moscow Mitch's desk, and impeachment hearings. When the Senate votes one down, just start another.

I can understand why the concept of career is a foreign one to you.

But....this isn't retribution.... This is about  not wanting to subject a person that knows things to the nomination process and the inevitable questions of "who knew what when" with regard to Ukraine.  This is about ass coverage, not petty vindictiveness.  At least, according to TFA.

Come on - he didn't spend all those years at Hamburger U for nothing. They've promised him a bright career path: lavatory cleaner, then freezer stocker, then the deep fryer - and if he shows real aptitude, burger flipper! He's lovin' it!

Indeed they do - but its' reasoning makes a statement. And it's not good for the country. It makes it less great...as has been demonstrated repeatedly.

The present head of the Executive Branch thinks that influenza and COVID-19 are basically the same thing, and doesn't grasp that a vaccine meant for flu does jack and shiat for anything else. So his powers of judgement are horribly suspect at best.

Trump* is going to win, no matter who does what, in November.
It's not going to be a contest.
In the meantime, why not have some fun?
The articles of impeachment will be there, waiting, at such time as the GOP loses the Senate.
/Disclaimer - not clairvoyant.

Trump will be lying on his death bed (hopefully soon) still mumble-talking sh*t about anyone and everyone he thinks is against him.

Not that it should be a consideration for an appointment of this nature, but why on earth would a 300+ pound woman with a face like an angry shaved ape even think that Republican President Donald J. Teenpageant would want her around?

More like Trump* is going to win*. He'll lose the popular vote again (likely by a wider margin) but still win the EC due to shenanigans by the Republicans.

She seems to understand fiduciary responsibility. There's no place for that kind of thing in the Trump administration.

This is like the ending of The Godfather, except instead of Michael Corleone attending the baptism of his nephew, it's Trump eating a hamberder on Air Force One, and instead of Michael's enemies being murdered by his goons, Trump's enemies are being handed pink slips by ... well, I guess by Trump's goons.

"In early February, the New York Post reported that McCusker's nomination was doomed, based on concerns she raised about suspending defense funding to Ukraine in 2019"

The President has a right to staff that will break US law and subvert the Constitution.
