Paging Senator Collins has Trump learned his lesson or what. I'll be donating from GA to rid us of you.

I noticed that big tough Mr. "You're Fired" once again was too much of a cowardly chicken shiat to actually fire someone.

You know she is just flat out lying, right?

She was not concerned about Cavanaugh or Trump's behavior or anything else.

Her comments and contrary votes were all staged and vetted to not harm the GOP favored result and help her with voters who are farking stupid enough to vote for her again.

You seem concerned about how people view Collin's concern.

I find that concerning.

I look forward to our next President waiving any and all claims of executive privilege and immunity relating to the criminal actions and activities that occurred during the Trump Administration.

While we're at it, let's find out if the next President can rescind pardons.

Next, Trump is going to want to know who told him to appoint this guy in the first place. Then that guy will be gone if he hasn't gone already. One thing is for certain, if Trump wants you gone, don't expect anyone else to have your back.

but sources told CNN that he broke with the administration on several issues, in addition to the handling of aid to Ukraine, leading to a loss of support from leadership.

Translation: kiss the ring and take it in the ass or be cast out into the street... or maybe just afterwards.

Anyone cool with this behavior has no clue why is it not ok, or they don't care. Neither is acceptable.

I'm now past the halfway point. Pretty much by the book. Anyone that followed the poli tab fairly closely wouldn't find many surprises. Yet, I still find myself saying, it's even worse than I thought. How is it even possible it could be worse than I thought? I mean, I think there is dirt in some part of the world smarter than the current president of the United States of America. And yet, he still continues to make me reevaluate his stupidity.

Listening to the audiobook. My only complaint is the reader sounds a little robot-like in some places. Other than that, not disappointed I got it.

he learned his lesson - that he can do whatever he wants without any fear of consequences whatsoever.  now of course the gop are scratching their collective pointed little waterhead wondering how absolute power could possibly corrupt someone absolutely.  scratching to the point of concern.

If he gets worried about losing in November, he'll gladly nuke someone in order to save his own lame-ass skin. Or he'll start some f*cked up horrific conflict somewhere - possibly within our own country. Then, he'll use it to justify an I'm now ruler for life!
He knows damn well he's complete toast once he's out of office, and he'll do whatever it takes to remain - whatever it takes.
And you can bet, his trusted advisors, Jared and Ivanka, will be pushing him to do so. And we know how sacred their opinion is in his eyes. Their goose is cooked too if he loses in November, and there's no way those two self-absorbed fiends plan to go back to humble citizen status. Christ no! They'd be subjected to all those laws, rules and ethics that the pesky unwashed and impoverished masses are made to live by. But no - not them. Because they're privileged "billionaires"; they're special; they direct world events, and certainly not meant to be the victims of such events.

Trump's plan is already being shored up by lunatics like the fellow that was granted a White House press pass for the stupid Texas rally. The guy that said this on his YouTube "news" program:

Well, we're gonna fight this f*cking tyranny.
First, we'll vote. If Trump f*cks up the election, cheats, refuses to concede, starts a war, whatever - well, then we'll consider other options.
It won't be pretty for any of us. But damned if we're gonna roll over and let this criminal clown steal and destroy our goddamn country.

If you'd told me that Trump would be in spitting range of Obama's military disapproval numbers, I'd have assumed it was because Trump finally DID shoot that guy on Fifth Avenue, and the victim was a white male enlisted service member.
But even that subgroup is polling less than 50% favorable views of this comic book villain.
And that was in December... a couple of discarded Defense-Department-big-names ago.

I am polling somewhere between  "These people are programmed to respect rules, and Trump isn't even pretending that there is any legitimate basis for discarding the respected leaders in their military community,"
and "Nothin gonna happen."

You've never known anyone like him then.

He's a sociopathic narcissist who just got a greenlight to do whatever he wants... his friends will benefit, his enemies will suffer, and there's absolutely nothing restraining him any more. This was exactly what Schiff was talking about in his closing statement, and he was spot-on.

I still think his endgame is to order something that will result in Best Korea launching a countervalue strike that will - due to their relative lack of expertise in ballistic missile tech - result in disproportionate casualties in West Coast (i.e., blue state) population centers (comprised of primarily blue voters).

Playing around with https://nuclearsecrecy.com/nukemap/, using yields between 15-100kT (neither you, nor I, nor anyone reading this has a need to know what they can actually deploy on their ICBMs), I conclude:

Any NK missiles that miss their LA and SF and Portland and Seattle targets (which are pretty solidly within the guesstimated range of their longest-range missiles) by, say, one mile, are still guaranteed to take out several hundred thousand blue votes. Probably 80/20 blue/red dead no matter where they land. Might even put Oregon and WA into the swing column.

Any NK missiles that miss their NYC or Mar-a-Lago targets by, say, two or three miles (which are on the outer edges of the guesstimated range of the same missiles), the voting casualties will be distributed around 50/50 on both sides, and will merely break some windows of the two specific buildings in those cities that he actually cares about.

I have. I knew he'd be this bad. I knew he'd be impossible to control, and that everyone would be left standing around with their mouths open, not believing that he could be THAT bad. That he was absolutely unstoppable, and that no one would be able to reason with him.
I mean, sometimes I want to laugh when everyone is still so surprised that Trump did this, and then he did THIS, and then, holy shiat, he also did THAT.......and I just think, I know, you can't believe it. Even when you're in the middle of it. Even when all you're trying to do is escape, and they won't let you. You can't even tell your friends half of it, they just stare at you. Or worse, they're thinking, Well, what did you DO to make all that happen?

Local guy, on the day the Senate voted to acquit Trump. Apparently that's his dad's Vietnam jacket.
He got a lot of shiat from local veterans. They accused him of stolen valor--for wearing his dad's military clothes. I thought it was awesome--all by himself, standing there for hours in the cold. If I'd known about it, I'd have bundled up and joined him.

I'm sure the actual reason for his firing was retaliation, but I'm not exactly sad to see him go.  The guy previously held senior positions at Raytheon and Lockheed Martin, and unsurprisingly was against policies that might reduce demand for their wares, like scaling back exercises with South Korea or negotiating with the Taliban in Afghanistan.  Who do you think manufactures the Javelin missiles which Trump was using as leverage?  Go on, guess.

Everyone knows that, dude, and since Rood was about 95% right on all the policies he opposed Trump on, and since Raytheon is never going to go broke selling arms to the Army anytime soon, you can loosen up your tinfoil hat a notch or two.

Trump is 73, 74 whatever age he claims to be today.

He is going to die soon.

The life expectancy of angry white tie-dyed men in America is lower than the life expectancy of Eskimos or black men in Cuba.

He knows he is mortal, he just wants to see the whole world burn.

Is Paris burning, asked Hitler. They lied to him, but no, it wasn't, because they had stopped following his orders like Hussein Insane's rocket scientists. They couldn't build weapons of mass destruction because the UN guys had stopped them and the USA had bombed any resources not found by the inspectors. Both Bush and Hussein were delusional liars at that point.

Well, Trump has already burned Paris. Well, the Paris Accord. But the world can go on without him, it can go on without the USA, it could go on without North America altogether. If the Giant Meteor were to wipe out North America including Yours Truly Brantgoose, nothing of value would be lost except of course a few trillion dollars of property and some wonderful people and animals and things. But each of the three or more races of mankind have their homelands elsewhere, in Europe, in Afsia, in Africa, in South America or Australia.

North America would be destroyed like the Fifth tire in your trunk. Nothing would be lost.

Yet Trump hopes to be the center of attention for so long as he shall live, and with the White House, the Senate, the Supreme Court, the House, the US military, diplomatic corps, courts, media in his thrall, he can make sure the Evil he does now will live on long after him, like the First Emperor of China who burned (successfully) all the history books and killed (to a man, woman or child more or less) all the scholars and wise men of his time.

Trump is the First Emperor of America and will almost assurdly be the Last unless you unite to save the Republic.

That is all.

The Emperor Palpitate has left the Palace. If you hear heavy breathing, or sniffing, it is probably Darth Vader, looming behind or in front of the Queen.

2020-02-19 11:49:30 PM
Is Paris burning? You get to decide. Greta is only a little girl. She can ask questions, such as "Why Grandma, why haven't I noticed that you have such big teeth before?" But there is no Hunter on the way to kill the Big Bad Wolf in Grandma's Bloomers. Voters will have to do that. Vote as if it was your first, last and only time to have a say in the future of the City, the Republic and the World.
