Short answer, yes.

As it should be, he shouldn't influence the primary.

Of all the criticisms lobbed at Obama nobody can question his professionalism. Let the party sort out who wins before bringing out the big guns. You know someday in the future Trump is going to turn the next GOP primary into a circus by endorsing some terrible pick from the start and then throw a temper tantrum when they don't win.

The Great Lakes elected Trump. Liberals as a whole are gunning for a better version of Obamacare.

No, the Electoral College elected Trump. "We" - as in the voters - elected Clinton.

By a substantial margin.

I don't see why he'd care, as long as Bloomberg drops out if he doesn't catch on and keeps his trap shut about a possible third party bid.

I've only seen one Bloomberg ad, and it was an Obama one. I think Bloomberg is trying to definitely imply more than is there for sure, but Obama at some point voluntarily spoke positively of him in public. Doubt there's much he can do about how that's used. I think it's just part of the game and I'm sure Obama understands that.

Obama is a centrist reformer who has always been extremely cautious about the preservation of norms and procedure in the execution of both politics and government.

The tradition of former presidents shutting right the fark up about people running in later races apart from an eventual limited endorsement of their party's candidate after the nomination has been decided is one of those "vital traditions to preserve the integrity of democracy" that people like constitutional law professors are really into, subby.  I would not hold your breath for him to come out swinging in favor of someone specific.

// Frankly, he's also probably smart enough to realize that this election doesn't really have the safety nets he usually puts his weight into defending at all, and that his weighing in wouldn't really be useful or valuable.  Obama's an expert at strategically not doing things when that's the best option.

Obama needs to disappear like GeeDub. Of course, not before grabbing some more fabulous parting gifts from his Wall Street golfing buddies first.

If I had money and influence, I'd ask Obama to cut a nice, positive ad for each Democratic candidate.  That way we could start leveraging his popularity now without causing issues by supporting any particular candidate in the primary.

Plus, it'd be nice to remind everyone how a real President behaves.

"Joe Biden was a great vice president and an even better friend. Sanders and Warren have been fighting the good fight in the Senate for decades. Buttigieg has the fire to carry a new generation. Tulsi Gabbard... hey, it's Tulsi Gabbard!"

In an informal setting (such as a private lunch), it's acceptable to use the title the ex-official held. Here, you could refer to former President Jimmy Carter as either "President Carter" or "Mr. Carter."

I would say fark in general and this headline specifically qualifies as "informal".

If you want Obama to say something, you have to convince him that NOT saying something will cost him book sales. Not likely.

Well, yes, informally one can do whatever one wants (misuse "begs the question", for instance).

Either way, it's not title forever, President jst3p.
