I don't know if UFOs are real or not, but I've met a few people who claimed they'd been kidnapped by one, and it convinced me that aliens have odd tastes in people

As stated by other people, UFO doesn't mean aliens. UFO means unidentified flying object. It's literally anything we see in the sky and say "the heck is that?"

It could be ball lightening, Superman, a weird bird, or the Lockheed U2, those shiatty spy planes the US still uses despite their penchant for being seen and shot down... And I guarantee you, our government spends a lot more money on that piece of crap than interviewing yokels about weird lights in the sky.

The 'Fail' is that it's only been millions of dollars spent to investigate and study far-reaching and status-quo disturbing technology such as this.  Gotta reach out with resources to make those quantum leaps possible.

Yeah, is anyone here actually surprised? They've been studying them for decades... Who actually believed that they stopped when they officially "closed" Project Blue Book? I was like 9 at the time and knew that they weren't ending anything...

If I was running he show, I would never tell the public about this stuff. They can't handle real issues coming from politics or about the endangered environment or just general reality right in front of their faces. Head in the sand stuff.

They're not gonna be open to something that brings into question everything they believe in, especially religion. It would be denounced as a hoax, and so on. That sounds ridiculous but millions of people are ignoring reality these days as soon as someone utters that magic phrase, "fake news".

The U2 is still kinda useful. It's main advantage over satellites is that it doesn't have to follow a predictable orbital path. It's other advantage is that it takes pictures through less atmosphere, increasing clarity. Would I climb in one ? Hell no, but it still has uses.

I've always considered it a given that there's intelligent life out there somewhere in the universe.  We just haven't encountered them yet.

You can't say what it isn't if don't know what it is.
Is it aliens?  We don't know. But we know what the answer could be.

Surveying your territory for unauthorized overflight by advanced foreign aircraft has been sensible. We used to fly UFOs over Soviet Union.

It's no coincidence that most "alien abduction" reports came from the same era as MK Ultra, when the CIA was dosing the living shiat out of half the country with LSD just for kicks. People were experiencing all kinds of weird shiat, courtesy of Uncle Sam. The reports of their cars & watches suddenly stopping inexplicably can be explained by military EMP experiments. The strange lights, experimental aircraft. The lil' green men, sadistic government agents wearing masks, making sure that if the subjects remembered their experience & tried to report it, they would be deemed "crazy" & discredited.
Alien mystery, solved!
I should have my own History Channel show.

It's propaganda. Making people seem crazy, lose their shiat, & question everything they believe in is the entire point of it.
Just like it was the original point of religion itself when it all first started.
"A burning bush? Wait, you say you saw a burning farking bush & it told you shiat!??NO farkING WAY DUDE, STFU! Wait... Ok, just for shiats & grins, tell me what the bush said to you..."

same/same.
