I'd say that the Pittsburgh Pirates were the Cleveland Browns of Major League Baseball, but that'd be insulting to the Cleveland Browns.

I was born two days after the Pirates last won the World Series and according to my [insert every joint in my body] I'm old as shiat. It's a fair comparison.

Recently there was a Q&A with some sportswriter about the Pirates and what to expect and he basically said the only real interest in the season was to see how the roster shakes out. Soooo, yeah, that's what we got going on this season.

Oh I know that, but they still won them. The last time the Browns won a Super Bowl was....

Try being a Mariners fan.  At least the Pirates have been to the playoffs three times since the M's last made the playoffs in 2001.
