I just wrote an app that should make everything work more better.

Does anyone really care who the winner is?

Trump is worse, end of story.

It's like that comic where someone presents to you a button that will defeat Trump, and you quickly begin mashing it. And they try to dissuade you with "But..... Biden/Warren/Sanders/etc... is President" and that just makes you mash it harder.

Republicans:  Oh, the Democrats can't get their antiquated caucus system to work flawlessly?  Guess we have no choice but to vote for the rich kid cheeseball brain with the little R next to his name again.

2020-02-05 5:34:40 AM
Jesus H Christ, WHat the Fark are those stupid shiat heads doing.  Why the F*ck can't we just primary every farking thing!?!?  Ranked choice votes would let people choose shiatheads that they don't like.  Seriously, here in OR we vote by mail, and our primary votes, are distributed based on number of votes received.

So for me, I'm wanting either Warren, or Sanders.  After that I want, anyone who isn't Joe Biden.  I am borderline not voting because of him.  (I will still vote against Trump.)

Pete on top out of Iowa?

Ishkur: Does anyone really care who the winner is?

Yes? I'm going with "yes".

Trump is worse, end of story.

And that means I don't care which specific person Trump is replaced with? Okay, time to go campaign for Chris Christie.

2020-02-05 5:56:24 AM
Oh my god, who the hell cares?  This is like getting worked up about a pre-season expo game where the first and second (and third and fourth and fifth) string of the same team play against each other.

Maybe - just maybe - instead of revving up the circular firing squads, conspiracy theories, and all the other fractal partisanship turd-throwing, maybe --

Everyone could just keep their pants on and sit tight for a few days. No wonder a toddler in chief got elected last time, the place is full of farkin' babies who want it - whatever it is - and want it NOW!

Veruca Salts, everywhere.

/ keep panicking and carry on

Cute how the Newsweek pic had buttons from lotsa contenders (especially Warren), but not *one* for Biden...

2020-02-05 6:30:58 AM
Yeah, thanks again for continuing to bog down democracy with your stupid folksy nonsense Iowa.

Can Democrats please stop stepping on our own dicks every election by letting Iowa push their way to the front of the line with this Pepperidge Farm bullsh*t?

2020-02-05 6:44:09 AM
Eh.  I'm convinced Trump is going to win in November. Campaigning is where Trump shines. Trump will showcase his accomplishments, call his political opponents names, highlight how he stood up to Nancy Pelosi by not shaking her hand while somehow complaining he is the "most oppressed president ever" by showing Pelosi tearing up his speech.  The Iowa primary debacle will take center stage regardless of how well the following primaries go. He'll celebrate the record number from the Dow Jones even the the vast majority aren't even invested. Environmental destruction will be minimized while stating that he "unleashed the American economy by slashing unnecessary regulation".
And guess what, he will receive free campaign advertising from all the major news networks, and abuse tax dollars flying all over the country to spread his filth. The election is Trump's to lose. Dems have quite an uphill battle.
This election season is going to be a mess, and DC will be a smoldering crater on November 3rd

The coverage of the Iowa caucuses seems to imply that the Democrats are in disarray and in the process of collapse, but my dudes... it was just an app failure.  Chill.

Yes we can, it's a paper ballot primary. Only takes me about 10 minutes to vote, and we still have same day voter registration.

Bovine Diarrhea Virus: Eh. I'm convinced Trump is going to win in November.

Well of course you're convinced he's going to win, that's why you'll be voting for him.

Democrats would rather Trump win re-election than Sanders win their nomination.

I like the fact that they dumped all of their woes onto some overworked/underpaid coder because it reminds me of my shiat job.

too easy to hide things in Closed Source Software, as many companies over the years have proven.

Honestly the worst part is that from a local level they were some of the best run I've been to. The only snag was running out of voter registration forms, and they got that straightened out before 7.

Also our precinct chair has Leslie Knope on Meth energy

The way they have handled this has fueled those perceptions.

If the Iowa Democratic Party had owned this farkup and communicated with the public it would have mitigated a lot of this conspiracy stuff. Instead they seem to have gone into hiding and they're not even letting anyone know a timetable for when the results will be released.

Just a terribly irresponsible way to respond to a PR crisis.

If you're trying to defeat D2S, every policy, advertisement, procedure, and claim *must* be rigorously checked and tested.

Failing this will lead to predictable defeat...

Lol.

Trump's winning. Doesn't matter what happened in Iowa.

Why does that matter?

Every single person who isn't white already dropped out of primary.

Also, Iowa is where Obama got a huge bump.

But go on being your racist self.

Yep, Republicans are evil, Democrats are incompetent.

Pretty sure that as long as I am feeding my paper ballot into a ballot scanner and not an industrial shredder, there's not a whole lot to go wrong.

Just so you know, if the Democratic nominee is Biden and you vote for someone else, it's not actually a vote against Trump. In fact, all you'd be doing is helping Trump to a 2nd term. I hope you realize this and change your mind.

I despise Bernie Sanders but will still crawl over broken glass to vote for the guy over Trump if he's the guy. And not even make a big stink about how i'm "holding my nose."

Fricken hope so... I have to get up so damn early to vote before my commute to work, if they add screwing the count up to my almost 23 hour day I will have to delay my outrage until after proper sleep and coffee. Rest assured I will be peeved.

Why do we even have primaries? Let people join parties they think will represent them, kind of like clubs. Then vote in private primaries held at the party hall in each country or by mail. Present the elections commissions with the names in time for the general election. Why should the taxpayers stump-up for these parties' parties? Waste of time & treasure. If I want to vote for the Whatever Party, I should sign-up, pay dues which will allow me to vote in the party's private primary. When the general election comes 'round. anyone can vote against or for my party's candidate or not. I don't care who the Peace & Freedom Party is nominating, so why do I and all other taxpayers have to contribute to that party's process of choosing their candidate? Let them have their adherents contribute funds to help spread the tenets of the P&F platform which is more likely to garner votes and more adherents if it makes sense. I vote in the primaries but I hate them.

My friends, you are too worried about all of this. Iowa caucuses, along with every other "Super Tuesday" vote, are completely in control. Do not worry my friends, we have this.
